Thread: how can i finish the rebel mission(hacking data on an imperial shuttle) given on LOK?

Hi,
i started the rebel pilot missions on LOK, but at a point i got the mission where you have to hack some data on a lambda class imperial shuttle. when u get there two elite guard ties and the shuttle are at the mission location. i start to inspect the shuttle, meanwhile i always get attacked by the ties and the shuttle. the inspection: "the data i've been looking for is on that ship and i have to DOCK that ship". so i try to /dock the shuttle but it denies. the fight keeps going and i take down the ties and leave the shuttle to the final. i try to /dock several times but it still denies. i keep going until the shuttle gets considerable damage and try /dock but it denies. at the end the shuttle is destroyed and i get a new mission location and this keeps like that thru all updated locations. when i turn back to the trainer on LOK my mission is still unfinished and i have to launch back in space to complete the mission.
what is the point i'm missing. i'm using a Z-95. does anyone know how to hack the data and download it to complete the mission? do i need different equipment? help plz

You need to disable its engines with [ key (key near P letter in Q keyboards)
Then target it and /dock

i take it this is for your Level 3 Tiers?
im stuck in the one at Dathomir
really annoying, i have the XP to get one skill in Level 3 just now, but have to do this mission first.

No...this is a Tier 2 mission.

the missions are tier2. also the mission where you have to disable corsair ships? i guess the answer is the same --> disable the engine.

I too am stuck on the tier 3 dathomir mission. I take out the 2 ties, then disable the lambda, taking out reactor seems best cuz it drops engine AND guns. But if I don't run out of time in the process, then I have to escort the captured ship to safety. I pulled that off once and thought WOOT! BUT but but then you have to take a copy of the info to another waypoint and meet up with another ship. Problem was, I was so trashed by the first battle and taking down the ties during escort phase that I got turned into space goo before I even got close to the next waypoint. Oh well, I get a lil more along on it every day I try it so I guess eventually I will pull it off.
