Its not that they are weak, they are actually pretty stong against NPC ships, but I dont think chassis hitpoints should decay at all, or it should be recoverable because they cost so much, no everyone has enough to keepreplacing them like theyare gaffi stick:/

Chassis decay is dependant on how many times you die. I think chassis decay never should have been in the game in the first place. It's nothing more than a time/credit sink. Which wouldn't matter if I were a crafter with millions of credits in the bank, but I don't have that many credits to buy a new Nova Courier every week.........

I think adding forward firing weapons for the pilot would increase the usefulness of MPSs

Ok, today I got some people together on a MP (master) ship and we went after some hard targets looking for some fun. After a while we got beat up and dissabled by a swarm of fighters and a gunship, so I run around and repair everything (or at least try to) the plasma conduits will not fix so everyone gets burnt and incapped, so I hyperspace away and the fire DOTing stops, although everything is still on fire and will not fix. I fly back to a station and repair the chassis which instantly decays 300 HP off it!


We go back for round 2 and this time get totaly wasted, we respawn at the nearest station and repair then instantly loose another 600hp off the 1.8 mill credit ship chassis, and conduits still wont repair.


Where is the fun in MP ships if you have to fork out almost 2 million for a new one after a few hours of fun, then moving upto 75 items tothe new one?

Dunno, I prefer the single fighters. If I did it's by my own messup, not whoever may be piloting. As far as taking passengers on these ships, I wouldn't. I'd want my group to be in their own fighters helping out than stuck on my fighter helpless.

You can do a lot of damage very fast in them, but we'd rater take cheap already bust from grinding fighters now than a MP ship because it costs to much to risk:/


I know some shipwrights say they want the return business, but with or without decay I doubt they will have more because less and less people are wanting to take out expensive ships due to decay. Imagine if your comp armor lost resists everytime you got damaged or cloned, no one would use it. People would just use stuff thats already bust up and they dont care about anymore, thats whats happening with ships (once a ship gets to 1hp).

Heh Nash count yourself luky as actually having the game in the UK! others will be slightly laggin behind before we get multi player ships . But i agree with your point, MP ships should be virtually invincible, to any level...
