For the Pitch acceleration is it better to have a high number or low? I know this might sound basic and trivial but i jsut wanted to make sure i had the correct engine in.
I ask this also becuase so far out of 12 looted engineds the pitch acceleratio 11 ofthem have hadthe rateing 120-180 and one has a 600.
Also is a higher number better on al engine stats?
Finnaly question, is there a condition on the part? If you repair it multiple times will the stats go down eventually with wear?
Any thing that you can answer will be helpfull Thanks

Pitch/Yaw/Roll *acceleration* are determined by the chassis. Slap any engine you want in there, and they'll change to the chassis presets. Pitch/Yaw/Roll *top speed* is set by the engine, and I'm assuming higher is better there.

Wow, that's funny, I have the same situation and the same question!
I found that putting my 600 in a z 95 handled much better than when I moved that 600 to my y wing.
Now I have an 80 in my y wing and I target much smoother.
Anyone know the real answer?

Is there a different place ot check stats of your ship items besides in the manage window?
I ask this becuase whne i equip the 500 it shows 500 in the equiped window and when i equip the 180 it shows 180. The numbers never hcange in the amnage window weather equiped or not, so how can one tell if it is changeing due to the chassie?

From my experience (I am 4333), top speed is the most important factor in engines since some of the other stats change once you put them on youe ship (I don't remember the names, but the top two stats change with the ship you put them on).
Higher numbers are better on the stats. Look for a high top speed and try it out in your ship.
Every component, including your chasis, has hitpoints. That is the condition you ask about, and they do slowly lower. Every time a component takes damage and then you go to a space station and repair the damage, the hit points will lower. If you have "sweet" components that you don't want to take damage here is one suggestion. When you get into a system for a mission, hit H and set a hyperspace point in the same system (I try for the one closest to the space station). If you get in a tought spot and your shields are falling rapidly (you know your armor is next), hit your IFF, hit your booster, hit H and hit Hyperspace. That may sound like a lot of hitting, but it will probably pale in comparision to the hits your ship is taking! In a Y wing with heavy shields and armor you can hyper out of almost any situation, and in an X wing you have a chance of getting away if you didn't wait too long to decide to "get out".
Hope that helps, good luck pilot!
