Earth and Beyond was a massive online space game that started out fantastic. It just turned into a huge gank fest. Camping the spawn points and no skill involved, just who had the better weapons upgrade for their ship.

People quit and Earth and Beyond went to the massive online game in the sky, DEAD.

Can JTL survive?

I remember that game, quit it because it had no content. Sure it was nice to land in space stations and buy stuff, upgrading your ship, trading and taking missions but that was it. All the space sectors were so boring, once you been through them once you've bassically seen everything there and all that was left was to kill things. Joined a guild to which lead to killing more powerfull things....

I left when they were just starting to put "random" missions in, where a NPC would randomly select people and give them a mission ( like "Please help, my ship needs repairs!") while in space and not at a mission terminal.

I also remember how big a deal it was when someone got a lvl up when you were a veteran, apparently it took weeks the higher you got.

But yes, here's hoping JTL takes a few notes from the E&B experience.

E&B I did not even make it past Beta in that game, it had alot of potential but alot of people got bored with that game very quick.

Earth and Beyond was one of the best games I ever played, Went into lvl 140 before I started SWG. but indeed it was a huge gank game but I still think it was really fun.

I think the intro movie and the music and graphics for that game were just the bomb. I really enjoyed the early player experience but the whole lack of content thing did suck. Didn't stay long enough forthe gankfest myself.
