Nope, I ran this just fine on Saturday (post-patch). My only problem (if you want to call it that) was that the Wild Ride and I got a little banged up. Nothing that couldn't be repaired, but still annoying. Those rebels are never supposed to get through my shields!

Try try try again, really thats about all you can do if you are doing it solo.
I think I did it about 3-4 times before I got the shuttle disabled.
This is the problem with NPC turrets in general, they rarely miss you.
It also does not help that the shuttle can out turn you in most cases.
What I did was spin around until I was on target with the shuttle, by this time I was looking at the side of the shuttle. As he was turning flying past me, I would slow down to about 0
so I would not over shot him. And would just fire away until he past me, then kick it into full throttle, and spin around to do it all over again.

If you can stay on top of the shuttle, then you will not get shot. If this is your first encounter with the shuttle, then he should not be chasingn you. Get above and slightly ahead of it and shoot. I used this tactic and got through it on my second attempt.
BYW, this will not be the last time you see this shuttle. You will have a couple other missions for the Inquisitor with this shuttle, unfortunately it will actively attack you in future missions. May want to take a friend with you.

alternatively, in your first first mission with the lamda shuttle you can take out the escort fighters and then disable the shuttle from 525-530 meters since you are out of range of its massive guns - in this mission the shuttle stays on a steady heading and speed and will not maneuver to attack nor defend
in your next few missions you will see this shuttle again and it will maneuver so yea bring friends and have everyone aim at disabling the weapon
btw at 525 meters you will not get a lead reticle so you will have to eyeball it but it isnt that difficult

Having dropped Pistoleer and TKA for SW for making parts for my spaceship, I have found out one big way to help, upgrade your ship with killa components, it makes a world of difference, no kidding, get some great armor, weapons, capacitor and reactor, some nice missiles help too.

One thing that will help a little and give you some more speed is the Engine Overload. I assume you only have EO1 at this point but it helps by boosting you speed and it constant unlike pump reactor. I found out about this and it's has saved my life a few times by giving me the extra speed and combined with boosters to get out of range to let shields charge etc. I use this whenever I lauch into space if I plan on fighting. This won't let you take it out faster, but you can make faster passes at it until you get the weapon destroyed.
Just as a note if you have not tried it, the Weapon Overload helps some, but the drawback is you drain your capacitor faster. I had this problem last night when I got WO2 and tried it. I forgot to program the flight computer with the weapon normalization so I stayed that way and wound up running my capacitor down and having to just follow a ship until it charged back up some.

Thanks all. I've just tried the mission and succeded! After shooting down those filthy rebels, i flew behind the shuttle and at a distance of 500 - 550 meters i took out his weapon
, after that it all was a piece of cake
Thanks again for the good advice.
