Here is a simple reason to do so, you need to go to Kessel to become a pilot ace, how can you be an ace if you cannot manage simple evasive maneuvers to avoid players or take them out.
Make the title mean something.
As for you people complaining that you need a large group of friends/guild to do it, i did it solo without help from friends/guild (and i am in a small guild).
It is easy enough already with the ships not attacking you unless they have a turret because they are focues on other npcs.

Not easy if you are die while loading. Also the 1 - 2 hit kills needs to be looked into before (if) they decide to make Kessel PvP again.

Just toss the 75% damage reduction into space because they will do that anyways eventually once people start complaining about that more.
Also if the zoning in is the problem for some people just make it so gunboats spawn at the spawn rather frequently in numbers of like 3 or 4 and just stay there.

Yeah I had great fun when a few imps started camping the entrance, andI found it to be such a rewarding experience. I don't agree with pvp being involved with ace because everything upto that point is pve. There is nothing that says you have to pvp after you become master, and there will be a lot of people who will remain pve 90% of the time or more.

Great, so you managed to master while barely anybody else was mastered, hence you had no pvp requirement. Now you want to pvp everybody else coming after you and grief them to hell.
You lack of logic astounds me. kthanxbye
