Tonight during a PVP event we went up against an imperial guild and I'd say roughly 75 percent of the ones I got into dogfights with were firing at what I'd maybe estimate at .04-.08 delay...
We're talking almost a constant stream of shots...
I'm just wondering what the crap is this?? Is it a type of weapon? If so it's MORE THEN ONE cause they had both ion cannons and green lasers firing this fast (or maybe it's not ion but it had that animation)..
Is it an imperial ability??? I know they have damage increasing abilities but THAT?

Well, actually, that sounds about right. I have player-made cannons on my ship that have a .358 speed. And you can experiment (if not very effectively) to get the speed even lower.
So I don't see what the problem is... apart from space PvP being effectively one-shot / two-shot kills.

I'm sorry correction... add a zero in there...
I'd estimate they were firing around .05 - .1 or so...
I'd fire 2 shots by the time they'd fired 10.. and I have .350

WOW....i need some of those. I made a post about this on the SW forums and never got a reply, they are all to busy whining about factories. Guess if i titled it differently i would have got an answer...something like "Looking to place large order of weapons".

Ya Im trying to get to the bottom of it now..
To the best I can tell these guns are very low damage (possibly around 1K max per shot)
but attack speed is so disturbingly low that you can just destroy anything with 3-4 hits per second.
I'm speaking with some shipwrights now to see what they could pull off experimenting.

Bah on that note... got my response "there is nothing player made that could drop below .300"

Nothing that could drop below .300? Hmm. Interesting.
There is an Imperialdroid command that does reduce damage in exchange for lower energy use... maybe it also speeds up the fire rate?

I have a player-made .29, so things CAN drop below .3
As for .05, I doubt it. Your eye can'tseparate something that fast. I can only assume it would be a weapon experimented with all the points in speed and then some kind of special added in...

They were firing fast enough that there was almost 0 gap between the shots.
Maybe .05 is exaggerated but i'd say .1 is realistic.
