Your problem is your droid interface is too slow, when you reinforce it drains your shields and then itll take time to fill the other side. You can decrease this time by getting a better interface.
As for the reinforce adjust thing, its perfectly logical. Adjust, adjusts your the balance of your shield and is permanent, if you have a shiled with 1000 front and 1000 back, adjust 50% front will change the shields stats to being 500 back 1500 front. Where as reinforce frontis a quick dump of energy, where your droid will pull a percentage of the rear shields power and use it to reinforce the front.

Adjusting shields seems logical to me, and works fine.
Reinforce shields also seems logical, butare borked though. I was dog fighting 3 advanced ties (tier 4), and they were wearing down my front shields doing that gay jousting tactic. When i reinforced the front shields, it drained all the shield strength from my rear... at least that's how looked in my HUD. I'm not sure if it actually drained it all. I'll have to check the ships systems screen next time.

Errm, are you sure you've tried front reinforcement moderate ?! cause it not only drains energy from the rear shield as it should be, butalso drains all the remaining energy in the front shield!!
And for back reinforcement moderate it simply doesn't do a single thing except wasting a droid command!
I had already reported those 2 bugs in JTL beta, and i've done it again a few days ago. I'm pretty desperate for this command to be fixed cause it should probably be the most useful rebel command...i just don't understand whyit still hasn't been fixed whereas it is bugged since beta!![]()

I posted the same problem a few days ago, and someone responded that it was a known bug. Droid functions arent working properly. When you try to reinforce either front or back shields, it drains from both sides. Havent seen anything official on this yet though. Not a big shocker there though.

I was inin my A-Wing in the Endor systemearlier dogfighting some TIEs (Standards, Advanced, Aggressor, Opressors) and was geting hit and my front sheilds were down to about 50%.
My ship has 1100 strenght shields, not the strongest but good for a fast and maneuverable A-Wing.
My rear shields were fully charged and the TIE Opressor's rear gun was wearing down my front shields. So I fired off the command shields back to front fifty and my front shields proceeded to become non existant. Also the command front to rear fifty didn't even work. But after I do another command and hit the button for the front to rear fifty it says I must wait so long before I can do another command (understandable). But when the command is available to execute it just plain dont work.
It also seems the commands are logically set up.
Reinforcment - currently diverts power from one shield to the other (light, moderate and heavy).
Adjust - currently diverts power to make the chosen shield stronger (thicker) than the other (light, moderate, heavy).
To me this logically doesn't make sense. Shouldn't reinforcement make a shield stronger (thicker) and adjust diver power from one to the other?
I currently have lvl 4 astro and flight computer (I have an X-Wing andan A-Wing) both have the same commands burned and installed. They both have 101/110 data storage used.
Shield Front Reinforcement - Moderate (divert power from rear to front - 50 %)
ShieldRear Reinforcement - Moderate (divert power fromfront to rear - 50 %)
Shield Front Reinforcement - Heavy (divert power fromfront to rear - 80 %)
Shield Rear Reinforcement - Heavy (divert power from rear to front - 80 %)
Shield FrontAdjust - Heavy (divert power from rear to front)
ShieldRearAdjust - Heavy (divert power from rear to front)
Shield Normalization (power distrubtion settings back to normal)
Anyone else experience this issue or similar?

Maybe I am interpreting the fuction of the commands wrong?

Not just droids, this bug is available for many skills.
I used inspacerepair command and when repair complete a player killed my repair ship while it was moving away. Guess what? I cannot call ship back again till I landed.
