I was just wondering why Rebels do not get faction points for taking out Imperial NPCShips and Imperials do not get faction points for taking out Rebel NPCships. Shouldn't the FP rewards be equivalent to the ground war?

For the same reason you dont lose any when you die. YOUR NOT DECLARED! What I think is even more wrong are Neutrals flying Imperial or Rebel ships.

You Do get someFP for duty missions when you land, provided you didn't fail... Anyway, if you FP for EVERY kill, it'd be meaningless. I'd be somewhere above 100k FP in just 5 days LOL

you want FP... every time you launch, head to your nearest friendly Space Station (Imperial/Rebel) and declare. Then go blast everything in sight.
btw... it doesn't matter your ground or space affiliation, you can fly as a gunner. I went up the other night in a friends Y-wing, he went Overt and I could still blast TIEs and got Rebel FP for it (oops...)

odd.. I sure lose pirate faction when i huntat the corsair POI in lok system, which for some reasoon now makes nym's guards aggro me, which sucks when you have to go to nyms palace to talk to the trainer! The only thing I dont understand is...
Hunting Corsairs in space hurts nym faction
Hunting Corsairs on the ground raises nym faction.
