Thread: Question about HUD/HAM

I have only been flying a few hours now and just finally built up my character to 1-1-1-0 Rebel Pilot and setup my own special Z-95. Nothing special there. But, I am still new to it so forgive me if I missed the option of missed the spot in the FAQ.

What I want to know is is it possible to show my own ship stats constantly instead of having to click on the option above to see how my ship is? I have flown quite a bit but all this time I was wondering if I was indestructible. I never noticed any damage even after taking rockets or blaster fire. Anyone know if its possible or if maybe they could add the option in the future?

Try searching the forums on this topic i know it has been answered a few times.. Or try the manual its in there too

Your HUD/HAM is displayed on your radar screen.. The outer Blue lines are your shields and yoru Inner Red lines are your Armor..

Hope that helps.

While the info is accurate, I think the original question was talking about the condition of the engines, weapons, reactor etc... It briefly flashes on the screen when it gets damaged (on the upper right) and when you click on the icons, but it would be nice if there were a little display that keeps you informed on your equipment (in percentage). Personally, I have not found it (other then the one that is already there).

Thanks i did'nt think about that part.. Everything in the game has Armor Points. Shiels,Engines and your Acutal ship has Chassie.

You can access the info in space with the "V" key. If your getting blown up you will see the Eject button come up. If you eject you will be put back at the station with a little decay on your chassis and your componets armor points. If you do not eject and get blown to bits your chassie and comps will drop signifintly.

Hope that helps I was unaware of this and i never hit the eject button until i saw that my X-Wing had only 300 chassie points left hehe.

Thanks guys. I have yet had to eject so I never considered that option yet. Is there a command I can program for eject? I use an N52 gamepad so I enjoy setting up for all eventualities. I almost never use the mouse when in space and rarely use the keyboard but for chatting on the ground.

Anyone else noticing sometimes that chat picks up commands from their joystick? At first default game drives picked up my Cyborg Evo like a champ. I then installed the software and changed a few settings and now every so often I find that my joystick key presses translate into the chatbox regardless if my cursor is locked or not.

I am more curious on the condition of my parts while I am in battle. If my reactor is down to 50%, then I have 50% less power and systems will start shutting down. I can't press V in the middle of a dog fight to find this out, so it would be nice to have some indicator on the hud. I don't know if this is implmented though.

Exactly. I should be able to call up a chart to show the most important stats on my ship.
