i am just here to say that the relese date in england is stupid. it was suppost to be in the shops in the 5th. no complaints there but it hasnt been shiped so no stores have them. and you will never guess when it is nov 11th. why o why then of all days. since i and well every other self respecting xbox player will be out getting HALO 2. and of corse JTL will lose out and only be got after completing halo 2 thousands of times and somehow losesing interest in it over xbox live.
just a though anyway on their very very bad timeing

It's a UK shop that will be getting new stock on Monday. They will mail you the key before they send you the box. Job done.

It is nothing to do with SOE and all to do with the UK distributor who is Activision as a lot of us from the UK have been in contact with the various customer services departments of SOE, Activision and the games shops in the UK.
All the information we have received from SOE and the games shop are consistent in that Activision are the people holding up the distribtuion for some unknown reason. Some shops are saying they had stock in for the original 29th release date but were told by Activision to hold back the game from sale.
The best bet is to try to get a copy of the key from an online shop and there are various posts on the forums giving information on how to do this, have a search for cd keys.
Not a lot else i can add but to say don't blame SOE as this is completely out of there hands now as the distributor in the UK is the hold up.

Yes, don't blame SOE. Blame LucasArts. It's their fault, really, that Activision were put in charge of distribution. They should have been made to (as part of the publishing contract) release it at the same time, or at most only a couple of days after the US release of the game. But they didn't. LucasArts screwed up, Activision screwed up, and we're screwed. It'll get pushed back again when Activision realise it's so close to the Halo 2 date, so we'd probably be lucky to get it by the end of novemeber.

I think that they should have JtL avaliable as an Upgrade for existing SWG subscribers, as in that they should send us the Key Code w/out having to buy it separately. Lucasarts could get a system up and running to do that in a couple of days, probably. That way us Brits don't have to wait a few days, or weeks, to play it, as well as every other person who dosen't live in the US. Hell, i'm off to cancel my pre-order and get it from that other shop mentioned earlier...

Maybe LucasArts should transfer all Star Wars games over to UbiSoft, as they have already done with several titles, just a thought. The simple fact is everyone SOE, Activision and LucasArts have some responsibility in thisblunder at some level.
But as for the SOE are blameless, not their faults responces, its trueSOE dont distrabutethe game in Europe, but they are in charge of keeping the SWG community (in whatever country, especially as we do ALLpay them for that service) fully aware of any problems/delays with the release, as they do with every little insigificant patch and tweak to the game on a daily basis.
And as some have said before its their game and should have full knowledge of where is at? And I do feel had SOE made a statement explaining properly what the problem or problems were, there wouldnt be 100 or so threads asking WHY? Thatsseems reasonable dont ya think!
But seriously they are these threads are almost pointless and tiresome. Its out in the UK on the 12th, 15th or 19th of November, unless you import, buy the CD keys from the odd seeming endless surply of boxed copies of JTLS that are sitting in shop store-rooms, that are replenished on a weekly basis. That or play the Galactic Conquest mod for Battlefield 1942, which is substantially cheaper than JTLS

I'm not from the UK,but from the states and I cannot understand why SOE has not shipped this game at the same time. They should make all JTL for the UK come with the flashspeeder by default for this mess.
