The thing about SWG and JTL is that they seem to be fine games, but just lack polish to make them good or even great. I'm at the part in JTL doing duty missions where all I do is shoot down some pirates in Z-95s. And when I shoot them, they all say --oops I mean text (where is the #$%^& voice overs!)me 'you'll pay for that AryuForeel' and some other canned messages. I'm blasting the guy apart at least he could beg for his life or something.
I mean really, where are all of the other ships in the galaxy? The pirates bought all their ships on EBAY or something? The next thing is that they just come wave after wave against one fighter. It is sad.
JTL DEVs lack imagination, but that isn't an excuse! Go back to all of the old star fighter games and copy those missions you dopes! In jedi starfighter they had missions where missiles would rain down on a city and you had to stop them. Why not make that a mission? How about assisting in the boarding of a vessel or stealing cargo back from the pirates? Uh sigh! And at first all my progress seemed so quest-based.
Oh well, say maybe they can take some of the EQ2 Devs and move them to SWG or JTL? Hmmm, now that is an idea.
My 2 Cents,

Dont do them. Help a friend out with their mission. Wow, what a concept, actual multiplayer.
You lack imagination sir.

I avoid the Duty Missions, because they get boring. I am having more fun helping out my guild mates and their missions.
It's kinda fun right now. He's on an Imp Mission where you have to disable a Nova Courier....He sets off the Bomber Strike, and I barrel in with all guns blazing on my Kimo. Sometimes I survive...sometimes I don't. Usually manage to disable the engine and one of the turrets on one pass.....if I survive. lol

I can rack up almost 800k in one hour on duty missions. Yes, they're boring, but they're good loot sources, and doing them helps you hone your skills in multiple ship engagement situations.
And personally, I think the "comm sound" from the NPCs is a leftover from StarFox on the SNES

Yeah. You can rack up a lot of XP...However the Duty Missions are a challenge for me at 3,4,3,3....I don't survive too long against TIE fighters that have turrets. lol But working on that. Getting better at it.

Thanks for the advice
I will hang out at the space port in BESTINE tonight around 9:00 est looking for some guys to join up with. I'll try to contact my guild members (ROM) to see if they want to do some fighting together. I guess I just have to get over the solo bit and try going out with others....
