Well, not really. In fact, I'm pretty close to uninstalling JTL and moving on to Halo 2 until the bugs are ironed out.

I've got anewly self-builtAMD Athlon 64 3500+ 90nm running at 2.6 gHz onan MSI Neo2 Platiunumwith 1 gig of PCI Turbo PC3200 ram, and BFG 6800GT overclocked to 395/1.04. Benchmarks great. Looks awesome on the ground, but once I launch into space.....the proverbial poop hits the metaphoric fan.

Turned off DEP on Windows XP SP2, so that shouldn't be it.

Running on a cable broadband connection, so network connection should not be an issue.

I'm using a Logitech Wingman Force Feedback USB stick. I've read somejoysticks might cause problems....

I was in Beta and played on my old computer which was much slower, but i never had issues with ships jumping around. I've only just started my flying career in this game due to work, so right now I'm stuck on the "Imperial Commander" mission in Tyrena. Everything seems fine until I get about 900m away from him and his cronies, then the fun starts.

Impossible to hit them. They skip around likea hummingbird on crack. When you do score a lucky hit, no damage is done -- just a flash, a crash, and a fizzle. If you target a specific component, like engine or reactor, you may get REALLY lucky and do enough damage to the component to disable the ship after 10 minutes or so of chasing an enemy around. But you cannot destroy them -- even when they are dead in the water and you shoot and ram them repeatedly. And you can't damage the hull unless they go right through you.

Of course, they can and do hit you. Thank God for hyperspace.

This has nothing to do with leading or piloting skills or anything like that. Until the bug hit, I was cruising. And I was playing the original Wing Commander when some of you were still in the sandbox!

Hopefully, these bugs will be addressed soon. This one is a gamebreaker for me. I've tried different times of the day, log/relog, full scans, etc.

Help me SOE...you're my only hope.
