Thread: Has anyone else seen the Tier 5 Heavy Cruiser in Dath space?

I tabbed while on a mission and saw this thing BRIEFLY tonight.
It was gone before I could turn to check it out further, but it looked like absolutely NO other ship I'd seen thus far (kind of like a hammerhead shark/bug-with-antennae build, only with a LONG slender two front canards). It wasn't Rebel and wasn't Imperial, it looked merc-ish (brownish color scheme like a Hutt ship).
I didn't get to see it up close, but seeing as it had a "Heavy Cruiser" designation, which would put it FAR above the class of a Gunboat or Corvette, I would be sorely disappointed if it weren't a tough ship to bring down.

Yup. It gives about 33K XP if you kill it. The first time I saw that ship was in KOTOR at the endgame.

Yeah, have seen it a several times. Called something like a 'Darklight Warlords' ship or something.

It's not that tough. A pair of fighters can take it down. Approach from the rear, take out the covering turret(s), nestle yourself right behind the engines and blow it away.

Pity. This thing isn't worthy of a "Heavy Cruiser" title, then.
When I think Heavy Cruiser, I think Imperator-class ISD.

It's usually not the capital ship that poses a threat to a measly fighter...it's the escorts. The problem is that this heavy cruiser spawns without escorts. The fighters can destroy capital ships with relative ease. Capital ships can destroy gunship escorts with relative ease. Gunship escorts can destroy fighters with relative ease.
A tier 5 gunboat is a LOT more dangerous to us than that heavy cruiser. But I'd bet anything that it could tear apart the gunboat like wet tissue.
One of my gripes is that capital ships and other high value targets(high level freighters included) don't seem to have enough escorts. If you've run the Corellian Corvette mission in Kessel, that's what a Tier 5 cruiser battlegroup should look like.

There was also a vette sitting in the Lok/Yavin 4 area on chimaera last night not sure which again but it was there and it looks huge even 3k away.
