I loaded an ION cannon on my Y-Wing, andone laser cannon. So why can't I use both in space?
I tried setting up there groups as seperate, and paired, and I still can't use my laser.
Anyone know why?

Wow, I didn't know that...Thank you
Does the other pilot have to be reb? Or can he be neutral?

Can be even an imp.
And no need for the y-wing certificate on the gunner.
But gunner needs to be JTL enabled
And to spare you a message:
You group with the gunner.
You both stand beside the same spaceterm and you launch your Y-wing
You should be pilot and the gunner should be able to operate your turreted gun.

In the Y-wing "longprobe" ship you can handle both guns as pilot, it is just the standard Y-wing that needs a gunner.

Upgrading to a Longprobe was a pretty good idea, it's the first time I've been able to one-shot things in the game (quad lasers = nice).
I still keep my original Y for grouping though, the turret is exceptionally useful for keeping escorts busy when lining up your Y-Wing on bigger ships (like shuttles, etc) if your gunner has any experience using a mouse.
Since I'm currently at Tier 2, I'm using my Longprobe when grouping with other ships and my Y-Wing when soloing with a gunner (which isn't technically soloing?)
I still have my Z, but mainly just for fun until I can buy myself an X or A Wing.
