i've seen a few people 1-hit tier 5 ships with mark3's. someone told me that it has somethin to do with the rebel in-space replenishment, but i have been unable to duplicate this for myself. In fact, i can't seem to get any type of missle (bugged or not) to do anything worthwhile for me

so what is the secret? it's apparently more than lock on and shoot

.....no idea.

I've got a bunch of mark 2 protons I try to use, but they never seem to be much good.

When I do notice them doing damage it's only about one blaster shot worth.

I've got a couple space bomb launchers loaded on my TIE bomber, armed with some 8k dmg space bombs.

I was intending to use em to nuke that Nova courier in the storm squad 2nd tier 3 mission, unfortunately I can't get past the fist part of the mission in a TIE bomber... apparently a tier 3 TIE bomber with tier 2 gear just can't take out a cluster of tier 4 X-wings and A-wings.

Of course with my TIE interceptor I can get to the Nova courier part just fine, but I'm dead in a couple shots from it.

Dunno. When I built my X-Wing I installed a Mark 3 Proton launcher, all I need to do now is find some Mark 3 Protons for sale...

maybe they "replenish" you with godly weaponry lol

I dont' know what it could be. Maybe the replenishment is with the hidden rebel cache of weapons

Mark III missiles? Mark III what kind of missiles?

I never one-shotted anything with missiles alone. Missile use is a matter of timing and of knowing what kind of missiles to take.

I've used Concussion missiles to take shields down rapidly, and I've used Proton Missiles to "soften up" a difficult enemy and as a "finishing move" when an enemy's shields were low.

I thought about using Seismic missiles, but honestly, the big problem I have killing ships is taking the shields down. Once they're down, killing the ship is relatively easy.

And Image-Rec missiles... those are basically PvP missiles since I've never seen the AI use countermeasures, so I've used them maybe once to see how they worked in PvE... not worth it in PvE IMO.

Space Bombs... Capitol ship and freighter killers, basically. I don't use them for anything else.

And In-Space replenishment gives you missiles worse than the ones you originally loaded into your ship. At least, that's the idea.

It wasa bugthat made space replenished missiles havinga damage VS shield and damage VS armor set to 8.0 whatever the type of missiles,so if you look at mkII concussion missile that is 2k-4k damage 1.0 VS shield 0 VS armor, it would become after space reload 1.9k-3.5k damage 8.0 VS shield 8.0 VS armor, making them around 16 times more powerful than the original ones...

It is now fixed and the VS shield and VS armor damage decay like the other stats when space reloaded.

Missiles are a waste of money except on the corvette's components, you will be lucky to knock 5% off a tier 5 gunship with Mk2 spacebombs (which have about 22k damage, and cost maybe 30k a pack of 4)
