Herea fewfeatures I think would be great if implemented in JTL,
what do you think?
- 1/3 Throttle (for mouse users)
- 2/3 Throttle (for mouse users)
- Adjust laser cannon recharge rate
- Adjust shields recharge rate
- Cycle shield settings
- Switch firing-linking modes
- Harmonisation modes
- Target nearest incoming warhead
- Target attacker of target
- Save target in target Preset #
- Select target Preset # as target
- Padlock (switches your viewfrom reticule to targeted object)
- Commands/Communications to Your Wingmates
- Attack my target
- Ignore my target
- Cover me
- Wait for orders
- Go ahead
- Evade
- Dual radar mode
- More intertia to the ships
- Docking with players ships
- Spaces stations with cantinas...
- Fuel(lower qualitylower speed, better.. :smileywink

- Space mining
- WP hyperspacing
- Group formations
- Hyperspace player activation when jump calcul is finished

Good ideas, but what they really need to do is link the space game with the ground game some how.
Such as...
controlling a sector in space has concequenses for ground based PvP.
orbital bombardments anyone?

sounds really interesting but how can yu tell when someone is controlling a space sector?

Why can't they move the throttle control to the mouse wheel. I really don't care about zooming in and out. I also had an idea that I wish they would is make ISD and rebel corvette a playable option. However they can only be accessed from player dropped factional bases. So in order to have these uber ships your guild must be able to maintain a base. However they would really need to fix faction bases. Also make it so that the only people that can fly it hold the highest factional rank and master pilot for that rank. To board it and man the weopons you only need to have JTL and be overt. Introduce player to player docking and boarding. SO that once a capitol ship is disabled people can board that ship but only from the multi-person faction ship. Then it is player v player within the capitol ship. If you are db'd you are sent to nearest cloning station and cannot rejoin the fight. Once the boarding party has killed everybody on the capitol ship they will set a self-destruct sequence and get off the ship. If the boarding party died well too bad for them.
I think you should also be able to land at any faction aligned base so reienforcements can be brought in more effectively.

Gotta say, having been a HUGE fan of x-wing I really miss being able to control my energy distribution between weapons, shields and engines. Would be a nice addition.
Also, I miss being able to dump energy into my shields. Though that may be an ability, not sure. Emergency Boost dumps energy into speed.

a few more :
- Ability to "dock virtually" multiplayer ships to players starport or space station => so people would be able to go into your ship and use vendors etc.. provided they have the acces code to your ship without being obliged for the owner to launch the ship in space
- Combat radar map showing all ships and drawing a line from ship to targeted ship => this way a leader could really manage and assign targets. How about giving this ability to multiplayers ship in a special combat station. The "commander" wouldn't be able to pilot the ship.
- New ship Support ship : could providemissiles and countermeasure reloading, and energy supply to refill shields and capacitor, tractor beam on friends ships to drag disabled od damaged ships to starport for repair
- In flight repair : ability for a shipwright to dock with a damaged ship and change / repair a ship component. How about a "repairing ship" + specials SpaceRepair droids to do that?
- Autopilot patrol designating a few WP the ship would autopilot to them one after the other, great for roleplay
