I've been hearing rumours it'll be pushed back to the end of the year. Just rumours, mind...

I'm just wondering how many copies of JTL will actually sell in Europe when it is released. Most have ordered from DLGamer.com and Gamestop.

If they leave it much longer everyone will haveimported North American copies, and printing Euro copies will have been a waste of plastic and trees.

This, sadly, will only back up Activision's decision to delay the publication.

By the time it actually gets released in the UK shops a huge proportion of the UK's SWG players will have already bought the game from overseas. Either through sites like dlgamer.com (as I did) or they'll have bought the actual disk and had it shipped from overseas.

Activision & SOE will look at these figures and say "well no one bought the game from UK shops so obviously no one wanted it here". This will be used as a complete justification for all the delays.

This type of poor planning in having split release dates across the world actually encourages piracy (though in the case of SWG its a moot point since it requires a subscription). I've been told by the manager of a Game store here in the UK that "games only get released in the UK on a friday", even when there are world-wide releases the game only gets to UK shelves on a friday.

Another long expected game is due out shortly - Half-Life 2. Currently this is expected to be released on the 16th of this month, a tuesday. If UK games distributors hold to their normal plan this won't appear in UK stores until friday 19th. I can almost guarantee that by wednesday 17th this game will be available from pirates for all those people who cannot wait the extra 2 days.

waiting 2 extra days for a game does'nt bother me...the thing that does bother me is having to wait 2 weeks for a game that is already out in the US...i mean..

am 15...with no credit card..and do not have the options like dlgamer.com ..or anything else...i am relying on dutch sites that deliver me the game to my doorstep

and for the one who made the post....dude..the britts arent the only one in the world being screwed...its europe all together...

JTL is out in a lot of Europe, including France and Germany. I got JTLS from DLgamer, which is a French company. it's just the UK distrubution in Europe thats screwed up

Im in the UK too, and the fact some of Europe have the game, is pretty shocking.

On the SWG page, i see no sign of any UK release dates, when it was coming out in US, they hyped it up for weeks. We're not even getting an official date.

They need to realise theres customers in the UK!

I finally got bored waiting today and ordered a key from an online retailer (dlgamer), which arrived 40 seconds later.

Virtually every British member of my guild now has JTL from either a US or European online source.

It's no great shakes to me, I care little for boxes, butthe whole saga must be a hugeembarassement for Activision, who must've lost the majority of their sales by now.

That dlgamer.com must be rolling it in, and fair play to them.

I do think someone should issue a joint statement atleast to try to justify the situation, but as thats seems unlikely the way this fiascos been handled, I'm assuming, SOE, LucasArts are just hoping this is just a dream and will be over soon.....But your right about sales being bad when its finally been released, I was just looking at Gameplay.com and JTLS has gone from number 2 most wanted pre-order to number 14 in less than a day who knows where it will be in a few days. Hopefully LucasArts will soon transfer handling of the star wars licences over to UbiSoft which they've done with several star wars games.
