PvP atm Is AWFUL.. It just doesnt make sense, I've been around reading posts about nova's, decimators etc being killed in 1-2 hits. It's ridiculous. Yesterday I duelled a Kimigola with my TIE Interceptor, I had about 1600/1600 sheilds, 1000 armor both sides, and he killed me In 2-3 hits. I was like W-T-F, I asked him what damage guns he had, he replied saying they were only 800-1400 dmg. 2-3 hits to kill eachother In PvP does not make sense and ISNT fun.
I was thinking maybe to fix this you could (like In the ground game) reduce ALL starship weapons by 75% In PvP, so 1400 dmg dmg gun would be roughly 500 dmg? or perhaps decrease the PvP damage even further to make the game more realistic. Please, I do hope you are doing something like this about It!

another exapmle:
im a alliance pilot ace and got me a nova courier with
current aviable high end components.
as u know a nova courier is a lvl 9-10 ship with 5 mill mass,
so all the components were experimented into everything else
exept mass.
then i went with my 5 man crew into kessel, flew around and
showed my mates the corvette and black holes. we enjoyed it.
suddenly i noticed a player Tie Interceptor closing in.
before our gunners could aim at him, he 2 shot us and we all
died.
what i wanted to say is, how come a lvl 9-10 master vessel,
can be taken down in 2 shots?

I'm all for PvP being challenging, but 1-2 shot kills is a bit extreme...
how about at least a 50% damage reduction?

Wait, you died to a Kimogila in a TIE Interceptor?!
Theres the problem right there, you suck.
PvP in space is PERFECT do not change it at all. You'd only be ruining the fun factor. Uber Shields and Armor shouldn't mean so much as crap in PvP, use your mass on other things such as Capacitors, Engines, Weapons, Low Level Ordenance, and Droid Interface. DONT waste it on Shields/Armor, you'd only be hurting yourself.
As it is now, Tier2 pilots can take on Tier4 Pilots.........it brings variety to Space Combat in PvP areas by allowing everyone to use every type of ship in PvP areas. All you will be doing is making space combat similar to ground combat....useless. Just hone up on your own personal skill, and take your loss as a lesson.
Do NOT change PvP in space, it's just right.

Exactly....Space combat is way better than ground combat...it's actually about skill...not what profession's you've stacked to max out your defense mods

theres nothing right about multi ships being killed in 2 shots...
it should be like pve fighting, several shots to take out shields and then armor, and then pounding on systems and hull, handicapping them, then moving in for the kill. not one or two shots...

There is no skill involved when it only takes 1 to 3 hits to kill an MP ship that should of taken 5 to 6 hits at least due to sheilds and armor.

while i do like the pvp in jtl i have to agree with them to a point look at the asteriod field seen in ESB if the millenium falcon (master level multi crew ship) only took 1-3 hits before you blew it up it wouldnt have been much of a sceen fighters i can see bigger ships i cant

Sure space combat is all about skill and not buffs but having dogfights last longer than 5 seconds would make it more fun IMO. Give people a chance to actually employ some tactics and maneuvers rather than die on the first pass, being able to call for help from a buddy because you cant shake a guy on your tail who's taken your shields out after 5 or 6 hits for example (since your still alive) is an instance IMO that enhances the PVP experience.

there not heavy if they die in 1 hit, Seriously some of you people have no idea what a fun game is.
No, you're just used to the PvP in the ground game that lasts about 45minutes to kill someone because everyone and their mother has Doctor 4040. PvP is alot better when it's fast pased, keeps you on the edge and gets you to come back for more. What good is it if you go ino kessel, take 10 direct hits from a TIE pull of a maneuver and end up having to fire at him for about 30minutes to kill him. In PvE this is tolerable, in PvP it's not.
