Thread: Some missions are way too long, and way too hard

I agree totally. This is way to hard. I enjoy games with challenge, but common. I have tried to get past this mission (Mission 1, Privateer for Jabba) for 5 days now, and so far no dice. I am beyond pissed off right now. If something doesn't get fixed soon I am just going to cancel my account. I can find cheaper things to do for entertainment THAT don't piss me off. DEV's the game looks beautiful guys, really. BUT it also needs to be fun for people to stick arround. I want to play this game, but not if it is like this.

Crybabies. don't like it? Go back to ground where theres no challenge, using your mind DOT and pressing F9 (the /headshot button) over and over and over.

hahaha look everybody, a person who has to be pampered because they cant do the missions. If people can get master pilot by now, you can sure as hell get the missions done.

Your one of those people that wanted space buffs, i know it. Maybe you can start a petition to get AS and SW to be able to craft some 90% comp for your ship.

What tier is that mission (i'm Storm Sqaudron), if its a tier 3 one there all pretty hard and long, if you cant hack it alone get a couple of friends along, I f you don't have any friends in game , well you have bigger issues then not being able to do a mission.Even if you don't have friends go to the starport and just ask people, I sure someone will help you.

Well I think thats what the point was. This game was supposed to be one where you can have just as much fun solo than with a group. the SS Tier 3 mission is a bit tough to do with one person with all the upgrades their little Tie Fighter can hold. At the same time, I hear from all the neutrals and rebels saying how easy their tier 3 was to get through solo. The difficulty level is not balanced between factions and squadrons, and for the more difficult ones, there's no extra perk for completing it. I just chose it because it came up first on my screen, lol. I had no idea I picked the most difficult sqaudron. I've suffered losses before and failures, but this one is downright spirit-breaking.

Have you seen the preview for The Carebears and Ranters 1rst Trip to Outer Space? Its finally playing in theaters now!! The prequel- The Sims Online in 3D, OMG- was just awesome...

I just always take a flashy change of clothing, a full suit of comp armor, and a group of spammers, (master dr, a 100c per % master smug, a snooty master artisan, one overconfident master marksman trying to train you, and one noob [more likely an alt) in default clothing spamming for free handouts, and some hot chick(?) that keeps spamming "I want to buy your comp helm now")

These people WILL all make your JTL experience extremely enjoyable and easier if you group with them before launching a multi class ship. Its like playing the ground game in space!!

oh and I NEVER forget the annoying twilek lesbian cybering couple, a wookie who's only concerned with "scoring with the babes", and pack some nerfed spices with me in space so I can be reminded of the good ole days when things get ruff, and when they do its always nice to add a group of rebel AND Empirial elders sitting in a circle spamming away about "the good ole days.

* sorry for cynical but I'm up for the challenge, but I realize I would have to master shipwright before soloing any more of these. Being as butt ugly looking (even for a trando) as I am ingame, I experience a lot of prejudice. it seems I have mostly luck meeting total tools who want to ridicule my looks and ragged dress style except for those blue moons now and then I come across someone cool.

But, as the ground game is, your easily forgotten the next day when everyone can solo any mission. Which is why this level of difficulty is needed to force us to group and be cool to each other for a change, not just some random master marksman with- "Hey you a TKA?!? Lets hunt! Plzzzzz hurry dude you got vehicle?!" (No I just mastered smug all on foot, idiot) "I want to hunt uber mobs and I only got 1 hour b4 bed!!!"

Oh np! Let me just load up /feigndeath and I'll be more than THRILLED to be your tank, 3 times in a row.

I agree, mostly with that but when I get my Storm Squadron Ace title, it'll give me a reason to rub the other factions noses in it, I personally like a challenge, and while everyone says that the game was supposed to be solo-able nowhere did it say that it was supposed to be a walk in the park......Let them have their easy missions I'll gladly take my Storm Squadron ones.........

Ok first of all I like to solo. But this "x-treme solo" on EVERYTHING is total BS. Come on its X-pac can't we change the dynamic slightly? You can't form real alliances with people unless your some super bubbly personality, and I don't really feel like making my hot babe or human stud alt my main.

Its a MMOG geez ppl. where did it ever really state that the game was garunteed for solo? I'm sure it said it is an option, but they're not required to make it soloable for your toon standards. I seem to remember a while back around july '03 lurking and anticipating the day I got to play, I read about how people would form huge groups to hunt with.

When I arrived at the end of december this was still going on, for a few days. it was so much more interesting compared to solo. Everyone seemed to have this role sort of, like in MMOGs of the past. Then suddenly in one week I never saw a group again. Most MMOG gamers are used to co-oping with others on mobs, not buffing up into god mode to 'pwn' PVE with no other PC in site. Its not the other way around. MMOGers expect co-op and new comers to this game slowly have to adjust to "extreme solo".

Now when someone asks, "Do you want to go hunting for krayt dragons with me? And do you have good armor?," its usually from some clown fully suited in bone armor, weilding a laser rifle.

Basicly what they're trying to really say is, "can I ride your coat tail and annoy the sht out of you with my impatient style?"

Being forced to solo 95% of ground combat myself, I have no compassion for them or there XP dilemmas. I've given it many shots, only to be yelled at in the end by them when they die with laser rifles at point blank range.

I was a late comer (x-mas noob) but I lurked the forums fanboy style way before even Beta. I never really seen the statement that "its intended to be totally solable". Why would it be like that in a MMOG? Well ninja looting I see is just basicly accepted in this game. In EQOA that was some serious blacklist move, but then again thats a game that relies on co-op and grouping to get almost anywahere past day 3. Ppl are way less likely to ninja loot when the game depends on them finding someone again to group with. PPL begin to behave when their forced to group.

Devs, dont nerf JTL pve. Mastering Pilot shouldnt be quick or easy, at all.

Ok

Difficut is great

I would have no problem with the fact that I have been stuck on RSF Tier 3 Mission2 for 7 attempts.

IF THE MISSION wasnt 1 hour long and it was at the end that I kept failing!
As for grouping, I dont have the time it takes to form a group, I usualy get about an hour or less to play per day, so If I have to speend 30 minutes forming a good space group, Then I cant run the 1hour long mission!!

- When Sony and Lucas set out, we said, 'How can we do this and not make another EQ?' We didn't want it to be all about Luke, or combat, or lock our players into a class. So we created a system that would allow players to switch professions during the game, and there would be a lot of gameplay around making that change. If you want to go from architect to scout we've created a system to make that happen."

this mission isent even hard.. can be done doloing.. instead of shooting off your targets disable them and it will go mutsh faster then if u have time or the need for it.. kill them off.. there is a time limit in htis tought so dont waste your lasers on space.. be shure you dont use the green target coursor/computer it is way inaccurate.. use the force.. look at your target and shoot after that.. will help np.. np..
