I would like to know who thought up this bright idea of having a multi-passenger ship take up a lot space? This is ridiculous! I'm a Master Doctor and I need my lots to place harvestors on materials to supply people with buffs. I also hold a shop to sell out medical items. This one lot space does make a difference.

*rant rant rant rant* GRR!

It came about in beta when people asked for more than 1 decoratable multiplayer ship.

I didn't see anything about this in patch notes or anything.

There was a situation in beta where a player could decorate a multi ship, but they would not even be able to pilot a second, empty ship unless the removed the items in the first one. Players uproared. The devs stated they couldn't change that much because of "database issues"

So a comprimise was reached. Players could own two decorated ships at the same time, but they will take up one lot. People complained and praised the devs for this change. It has remained ever since.

It's not a good thing for many players that have full lots, but it doesn't affect me. I'm not sure if there is a viable alternative. For you, I woudl suggest either finding a way to loose one of your current lots, contacting a friend to take over that lot for you, or going without a multiship. Those seem to be the only choices right now.

I don't understand you, when you stock objects in a house it takes you lots ? right ? So when to stock objects in a MP ship it is the same.

wrong. when you drop a house it costs lots, not by placing items in the house. thx.

my biggest beef about it is that no where in the JTL manual or in any patch/release notes was this made available to view. we just found out about this through a csr since my partner and i were freaking out due to a lost lot.

The issue of this being a DB problem is a total load. They have the ability to make changes to the DB in a fashion that would allow for MP ships without burning up player lots.Making additional code that is dedicated to MP ships per player is no where near asgreat a task as writing JTL itself.1 MP ship lot per person is not an unreasonable addition to the code. Those of us who are crafters usually have massive amounts of guild members and friends who mule harvesters and factories already.

However the biggest issue with this problem was one again SOE's failure to make this condition publicly known to all persons not just those in Beta. How many of us have slaved away to get up to master pilot in our chosen profession only to find out that the MP ship we've been jonesing to fly is gonna cost us a lot space.

This issue is resolvable with some additional coding by SOE/LA. The only question is....are they actually gonna do something about it, or are we gonna see this one get shoved under the rug like so many other issues have in the past.

Now don't get me wrong I tip my hat to the programmers and code bunnies out there who have busted butt to make JTL a reality for all of us. But small issues like this is what frustrate a vast many of us. The big issues we tend to accept with a somewhat disgruntled grace and just keep going, but eventually a whole bunch of small things will add up into one great big ball problems.
