Thread: Question about JTL missions

Is there a place to get missions, like a terminal or something? I did the missions for the Reb recruiter and got the suit, but now the only missions the recruiter gives me are for no money and fighting weak TIE's that only give like 100 XP. Is there a place to get harder missions or is this the extent of JTL? Thanks

I'm also confused about the squadron thing. I was just reading a post about them. (A) How do you join one & (B) What purpose do they have? THanks

A squadron is what you join to continue with the pilot profession. The guyyoudid your first mission for should give you a set of transfer papers for a squadron of your choice. He will ask you which one you want to join and tell you what planet each is based on. After you choose your squadron, he should tell you the location of your squadron trainer. Then you go see the squadron trainer, and he will give you your next set of missions. Keep in mind that you must get all 4 of yourlevel 1 pilot skills before you can move on to the squadron trainer and the new missions. Once the first guy trains you in all 4 skills, talk to him again and he will give you the choice of trasfer papers. If those missions he gives get boring, try flying out into deep space and looking for higher level ships, they give better experience points and cash, as well as better loot.

If you started your pilot career on Corella (as rebel), once you get enough exp to train in all 4 lvl 1 tier boxes you will be sent to Nym's stronghold on LOK. The next trainer is standing infront of Nym in his palace. Not sure where any of the others are as I started on Corella as a rebel.

So, basically what you are telling me is i have to keep fighting weak TIEs for a long time! :-)

No not at all. you just won't beable to get a bigger ship (y-wing and above) until you get to tier 2 and the only way to do that is to get exp in all 4 boxes and train up. what you should do is take the 1st box on left (forget name) that gives you the better ship (y-wing) and then go to other areas and kill. you might die alot if you are soloing but you will be hunting tier 2 and tier 3 ships along with tier 1. If you hunt around Tatooine in the astorid belt there are a ton of tier 1's. you can hunt for hours and not kill them all with the speed they respawn.
