If and when possibly perhaps they add in player owned space stations. Could ya possible add a proximity as cities are on ground that we could float other ships?

This was mentioned during beta, and I think the devs said they're working on it.

I vote a BIG NO on this one. IF players are allowed to put stations of their own in space it will be the end of SWG. We don't need a bunch of extra space cities poping up creating more lag and, more importantly, a less "Star Warzy" feel to the game.


Now, if they allow players to enter EXISTING stations in the same manner as the Corvette ground game missions, this might be exceptable. Essentially, all players entering would not be on the same server load as the JTL server. Instead, they would be somewhere else almost like a new planet of sorts. This is the ONLY way I would do it.

actually that statement is totally wrong. If you knew anything about the Star Wars Universe then you would know of MANY space stations, centerpoint station between Talus and Tralus, Kessel (which is actually a asteroid base not a planet...nice job devs ), and THOUSANDS of others, and to address the LAG issue, i experience NO lag at all running max graphics, maybe you should get a new computer . But hey great idea i know its been said before, but to modify it i think it should be guild owned, that way during guild wars their could be bombardment and other cool things, but hey im having fun as is right now with JTL so devs keep up the good work but dont slack (jk).

I think the cap should be more strict, but I also want to be able to board the stations that already are there, as at present there is no way to join another group on a multiplayer ship in space. The space stations would be excellent content and would allow players to enter and take missions while in space, which would make the whole jtl side of the game easier. Player run stations might not be great cluttering up the place, so they should cost a fortune, the kind of money only a clan could raise.

I vote no on this Too! I wish I could get rid of player cities. Took away the starwars feeling. can't go 500meters without seeing a city, can't build anywhere and they screw up spawns. now all you need is to add this non starwarzy feeling to the space addittion? Don't do it.

I think there should be a central hub to the player station, that comes in 3 or 4 varieties.

Then, homes, facilities and whatnot would be bolted on, connected by corridors, some with all-encompassing windows, some with smaller windows, some with no windows.


There'd be shield generators you could purchase for various areas of the station, for protection against attack. Also you could buy turrets usably by players, for defensive purposes.


And there'd be a player cap, depending on the "size" of the station. So, to get more people you'd need to build more hangars (which could hold between 5 and 25 ships (people) each, and more extensions to the station.


The max population for the biggest station would be 250, but there'd only be 1 of those allowed in the sector of the "Big Three" worlds - Tatooine, Naboo, Corellia. These sectors would only be allowed 3 other playerspace stations in them, to prevent overcrowding.


Other sectors would be allowed 1-3 smaller stations. And certain systems (Yavin, Endor, Dathomir, Lok, Deep Space, Kessel) wouldn't be allowed any player stations at all, due to their restricted status.


Also, player stations would be able to be factionally-alligned. And can be attacked by members of the opposition, which could destroy turrets, shields, corridors, and even damage or destroy corridors, sending homes and such spinning into space, but these would be automatically retrieved upon repairing or building new corridors.

Heck if cities take away the "starwars" feel get rid of CH get rid of 99% of all jedi get rid of most melee weapons hecky I only wanna see what we saw in the movies! zzzz snore now the game is boring

Devs please keep building player things so you can't even auto pilot in space like you can't on planets now. Great Idea.
