We'll even though everyone seems to have a HUGE problem with it, it sounds very fun and dangerous, and probably costly. i can just imagine how many repairs im going to need. But hey, it cant be that bad. I just want to fly my Yt-1300 with my friends and enjoy the show. I always wanted to fly that ship since i saw it blast off from inside of the Death Star after Kenobi deactivated the tractor beam.
Running into a hot zone like Kessel, sounds like ALOT of fun. i hope they dont change it. I think about how long i wanted to have the ability to actually have the yt-1300, and now here is my chance to, of course it looks by the sound of it impossible i guess, but oncei do Master it, somehow, hopefully by myself with alot of luck and massive tactics, i will feel i earned a bit of my Star Wars dream.
I know those of you who dont agree with me will just flame me, and thats alright i guess, but none of that will matter once i take the Yt-1300 out for a spin for the first time and BLAST into hyperdrive.

It's really not that bad going into Kessel.
But it totally depends on how prepared you are, and how many players are logged in at the time when you do it.
Of course if you go in at peak times, you are more likely to encounter resistance from other players. But, that being said, be prepared, and bring more friends to help cover.
Most of the people complaining about the Kessel missions, don't like forced PvP for any reason, and also probably don't want to take the time needed to prepare for the corvette mission.
When I went into Kessel to do my last mission, had 10-15 people with me, and only ran into 3 other players that were "hostile". Of those other players.... all 3 were there for missions and none wanted to fight. It's probably different in other servers, but in general it wasn't that bad.
I don't like space PvP as it is now. It's 1-2 shots and you're dead. If they did a damage reduction for space PvP I would 100% agree with keeping the missions in kessel.

Nice rocky. We'll the only problem i came up with after thinking, was since i take missions from trainers, what happens after Master?

I'm not going to flame you. If PVP sounds like fun to you, great! Go for it! I hope you have a ton of fun PVP'ing. I'll probably try it at some point in time too. The point most of us who want the PVE mission out of Kessel are trying to make is that PVP is NOT fun for everyone. We've already seen in this game how things that are not fun for a lot of people are bad for the game... the hologrind.
There were several things wrong with the hologrind - it hurt the economy, it drove people more into AFK'ing to get through profs quickly, and it forced people to do professions they had no interest in doing. That's what is wrong with the PVE mission in the PVP zone. It's forcing people who have little or no interest in PVP...or even want to PVP, but not while getting a skill box....to have to deal with players attacking them in addition to the NPC's.
The problems are only beginning. Right now, Kessel is lightly populated on most servers. As more and more people begin filling the zone, it's going to become close to impossible for anyone to complete the mission.

hehe alymon, eclipse rules my friend
and yea, I'm all against forced PvP system, but if you act cool with others, xplaining you're not here for PvP, they might leave you alone.
it'll become an issue on 2 or 3 months when more pilots will get to master.
but if you take like 10 people with you, and you encounter a hostile player, just tell your group and he won't last long anyway.
you can die during corvette mission, repair and come back in kessel, without failing your mission, actually you just have to be into kessel, hit the corvette once, and you'll get master when it gets blasted.

See I can understand where your coming from when something is forced on you, and i'll agree with how the hologrind ruined this and that, but honestly, its how the game goes, reguardless of what we pay. The point isnt "hologrind" this and that, its about using your mind and being creative. You wanna make this simple, go out and buy Jedi Academy, its got tons of Jedi. This game could use improvement sure, but so could any game. Except frogger. lol
I do this everyday maybe once or twice, maybe not at all. But heres the point, Its like Yamada said.. blast at the corvette once and get the hell out of there. Another point i could make is people complaining about not having any friends to help them watch Your back. We'll aint that a shame. Chances are you got some money and even if you dont, make some and offer to other people and buy that help. I dont care how that sounds, just do it.
The only problems you can find in a game are the things you dont like, hence they are called "problems". You wanna be the "Man" who uses his mind and finds away around that problem, or you wanna go into some forum and complain that the mission is too hard?
My Friend and roomy told me "its Impossible,$&% the devs " ...point is, its only impossible until you beat it. Throw the dice.
This messege is only going to offend those who arn't understanding what im saying right now. So i instantly ignore them like an AKF'er in the game. Do what you gotta do, get your friends or buy them, go out and F(%#&*& some #($&*#$& up!!

Hey, I don't like the idea of PvP in a PvE mission BUT, like you say, I'm looking forward to the challenge (and the xp when I go flying with the people in my guild when they have to do master before me).
Frankly, if PvP damage was reduced so you didn't die after one missile, I would actually PvP full time.
