Stupid Cruiser Ship AI: This has been fixed. Before, you could kill the Dark Eclipse without it firing back, and you could ride Rebel Gunboat's backends and blow them up that way with no risk at all. The gunboats are fixed, I know that much for sure, and I've heard the Dark Eclipse now attacks back as well. Yay.
Shield Exploit(s): I am unaware if this exploit has been fixed or not, but using one method or the other they can make themselves virtualy invinceable whilesoloing corvettes, major space stations, and PvP. PvP this is a huge issue, as well as corvettes, but the biggest issue is with the space stations. Players can make hundreds of millions of credits in a single session by camping the Imperial Star Destroyer or the Rebel Space Station in Deep Space. There are records that keep track of who blows up what and how many times, and some people have gotten near to 200 times blowing up one of these stations, and they are not going to be banned, or even suspended.
PvP Damage: Some people enjoy the fast-thrilling PvP and the chance of dieing in 1-2 shots, but in most cases, it's rather annoying and unskillful. Of the dozens of Rebel pilots I have killed so far, only one of the fights has lasted longer than 5 seconds, and we were both practicly stairing at eachother by the time we got to finishing because of our ships fishtailing because we were going so fast. So if you're not in an A-Wing or a fast Tie Fighter, you're not going to survive in PvP. This limits the amount of play that can be had while in PvP, and could be fixed easily with a 75%-90% damage reduction. You could still die in 4-10 shots, but those who invest in armor and shields while sacrificing engines will be able to last long enough to compete with the faster ships.
Ships: Some people like to make the argument that some pilot professions get better ships than otherpilot professions. Imperials have no ships with 3 weapons, and the noob ships have no shields. The A-Wing, being the fastest ship in the game as far as I know, has the same mass and weapon capabilities as the advanced, but is smaller and more maneurverable (not confirmed by myself, other than size). Imperial ships also cannot be customized (cries), and the lower level ships for the Rebellion are far superior to the Imperial ships in terms of mass and weapon capabilities. The Alliance however, doesn't have as many ships as the Imperials get, only getting one ship per tier, where as at tier 3 and 4 the Imperials gain 2 ships per tier.
Missions: Around tier 3 a whooole lot of people start to whine about mission difficulty, and there's another spike at master. Tier 3 just gets tough for some people, and I'll admit, it was a little tough for me too. But for the most part, I believe these people just need to get better at the game or find some better equipment. Or even make friends *gasp*. Then there's the master mission, where you need to enter PvP space to complete it... I can somewhat understand this, even though I had zero problems with griefing when I did my mission because it was still pretty early in the game. But now Kessel gets filled with all sorts of people now, and they're out for blood, and nothing is better than reaking havoc on innocent players who are trying to get their last mission finished and are dealing with 2 gunboats, loads of fighters, and a corvette that can turn on a damned dime. Before, I would have said "suck it up", but I've actualy gone out and protected the Imperial Corvette, and it's rather... easy to do. Kill a player, run to vette for protection. Repeat till the hate tells start flooding in. But where would we put the vette kill mission? Instanced would take a while to work out, and there are far more people in normal sectors than in kessel, you may have to fight just to get a little damage on it.
