Hi,
I started JTL today and talked to a trainer, got my first ship, ready to set up my controls and options as I do with everything (I actually look forward to doing this, it's almost an art in and of itself) before I really get down to business. The manual is severely lacking, imo and I haven't picked up a flying sim since FlightSim'95 and Top Gun, so maybe it's just me, but it's a little vague on a few things. I'm sure I'll have even more questions after I move forward some, but for now...
Q: Do the ground controls and the ship controls overwrite each other on the ground/in space? For example, I may use one key for walking on the ground, but will that increase throttle (or whatever other key) for space? I noticed JTL re-did some of my keys, very annoying...
Q: If the ground keys are not the same as space, then I can freely put several commands to the same key without worrying about the ground v. space, right?
Q: I'm using a gamepad, do any of you here also use a gamepad? How are your controls setup for this..? (I'm using a Logitech Dual Analog, like a PS controller.)
mm I think that's it for now...really wish it had not overwritten my controls, but I have a feeling ground and space controls are somehow merged...
