Thread: Problem with mission way points in groups

In the ground side of the game when you group with someone who has a mission, you recievea "Nearest group mission" way point. There is no equivalent in JTL and it isa nuisance while playing.

It isn't so bad if your group is in seperate ships, because the rest of the group can follow the ship who has the mission. However, it becomes a problem if the group is using a multiplayer ship.

Here's an example: I'm not master pilot yet, however a friend of mine is and she has a YT-1300. So a few times she has taken me up in her ship, she has to fly, she's the only one qualified, so I get in the turret. However, she doesn't know where to go, only I know where to go and I can't fly the ship! I have had to guide her to the way point by firing my turret towards the way point.

This is really annoying, and I think it'sunreasonable. Just give us shared waypoint in groups please.

I didn't use buffs or uber armour, so why did the combat revamp have to spoil my game?

Yeah, i feel the same way and so do about 6 other people i was grouped with yestarday who had to follow this one guy. It dosent make sense to have it on the ground but not in space. I mean, if we can target thier objective(s) and see the red and white boxes around them, why cant we see where the way point is?

We keep telling them, we keep bugging it. No response on when it is going to be fixed.

I don;t think it is a Bug. There is something just not right about getting credit for doing a PILOT mission when you are not the pilot. Thats just me but it seems that this is what it is about....

It does make group play more inconvenient thought doesn't it. Ironic since they're trying to encourage group play over solo play.

yes and no... But as I siad I think their goal ,maybe that you are actually the pilot on the missions you get credit for finishing. could be wrong. Also are their Privatieer missions other then teh Master one where having the big MC ship is an advantage over having 3 or 4 Teir 3 or 4 ships instead? I know on the Imperial BE missions in almost all but maybe the 3rd and 4th Teir 3 ones with the gunboats having fighters is a better setup then only a couple and a big target...

Well I don't know about that, I'm still only 1211. However, I did sit as gunner on a high level escort mission for somebody else (Yavin system), and we had a fully crewed YT-1300 along with DuneLizard (the mission was for the pilot of this fighter, the YT-1300 crew were comig along to help), and that worked really well.

We brought this up in beta and it was ignored. Nobody even responded to it. I would really like to see this fixed.
