I'm trying the first 4th tier mission at the emperor's retreat. It's the npc right next to vader. The mission
is called "Patrol the Dathomir System". What happens is I go up there, hyper to the dath system, follow
about 3 patrol points then it says mission successful. I don't get any further updates so I hyper back to the
Naboo system. I don't get a mission failure or anything like that but when I go back to the NPC he tells me
I have failed him. I've tried this mission at least 5 times. The only other thing is a YT-1300 Crystal Smuggler
spawns. One time I did the mission I disabled it and docked with it even though the mission didn't say anything
about it. Still failed the mission when I got back though. I put in a bug report. I put in a CS ticket. The CSR's said
they weren't aware of this problem and had no idea what to do. Has anyone else had this problem or know what
I can do?

Also does anyone know how many passengers the Decimator holds?

as far as I have gone. You go through the patrol wps, on the 4th wp, you find the yt-crystal hunter ship. inspect it first, disable it, inspect it again, and then dock with it.
After that 3 mins will pass and 4 merc ships teir 4 will spawn to try to take you out....I got owned here. That's all I know.
But I did run into a problem with the yt ship, if there is other players there they can attack it also and kinda mess up your mission. maybe that is your problem.

Ok, I tried what you said just now. I took the mission went up and I don't even get to 4 patrol points. Theres only two. I go to the first one. Then the second one appears about 1k away. So I go there. The Crystal whatever appears. I inspected it. I disabled it. I Inspected it again and docked with it. It said I got the cargo. Then I waited for about 10 minutes and nothing happened. The only thing that happens is that Crystal ships keeps respawning. Now when I reach that second waypoint it gives me a mission success and the mission disappears from my datapad and my journal. However, when I get back to the retreat that npc still tells me that I failed.

I got the same problem 3 times. The one time that I was able to get past that and disabledthe YT-1300 only to find out that the next part of the mission is undoable because the 8or so tier4 enemey ships that spawned are way toofast for my TIE Advanced with a top speed of 921. It's almost impossible to get behind themsince all of them kept doing the 180 turns in front of me. Something needs to be done about the ship AI.

Don't fly at full speed when dogfighting. The advanced you prolly want to be at about 80-90% throttle, unless you're chasing something in a straight line or running for your life.
What I do when I see the bogie pull that seeming 180 turn on me, i drop throttle to about 50%, depending on how far away they are when they make the flip...if they're realy close, i'll pull nearly a full stop...that will tighen your turn radius (and cause them to over shoot your position)...as they go by me , (of course, i'm still turning to get a bead on em) slowly ramp the throttle back up to match their speed....should put you right on their six almost every time.

The sweet spot on the Advanced is 85% throttle. I've tested this extensively. 85% is the max throttle that can be applied without any manueverability penalty. The Interceptor MaxMan at 100% throttle, and the Oppressor at 75%. Also, resist the urge to turn along the x-axis, ALWAYS turn upwards at a 30-45 degree angle, because coming down on your opponent from above strengthens your positioning ability.
Set up a macro to read "/throttle 0.85;" (sans quotation marks) and stick it on the toolbar (or on a button on your joystick). Also, USE ENGINE AND WEAPON OVERLOAD 3. EO3 kicks your speed and manueverability stats in the ass at the cost of a few hp on the engine. WO3...well, it's just awesome and doesn't really cost you anything.

Thanks guys, setting throttle 85% does indeed help a lot. What's the best throttle for the Aggressor though?

The merc ships will spawn if you're specifically told to inspect the YT-1300 before you even arrive at the way point where the YT-1300 is. After you've disabled and inspected/docked withthe YT-1300, those ships will spawn. ButIf you didn't get that mission update before arriving at the way point, you willhave to start over. Just keep trying.

Ok xp isn't the problem here. I have 1900000 xp. Almost enough for TWO boxes. When I do the missions those 8 merc fighters do not spawn. I've never seen them. The YT-1300 spawns then nothing happens. Is this supposed to be a grinding mission? I don't know. I'm totally lost. I've been to this same stupid NPC many times and he just tells me I failed the mission then I go do it and come back and he tells me the same thing.
