Thread: Gunners have to be same faction?

A friend and I just started doing Rebel missions in a two-person Y-Wing. I pilot the ship while he controls the top-mounted gun turret. Great fun.

But here's a question. He joined the Alliance because we both just assumed he needed to in order to be my gunner. But is that true? He actually wants to fly for the Smuggler's Alliance, but if he drops out of the Alliance and becomes a privateer, will he still be able to be my gunner?

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Yep. Smuggler's Alliance can attack both factions.

But I don't think faction matters if you're grouped. Anyone confirm?

I've done it. My friend was rebel, piloting a Y-Wing, and I jumped in the gunner's seat.
