OK. So you're flying a difficult Tier 3 or 4 mission. You come to the last stage of a mission. Not the last mission for that trainer, but the last part of the mission you are on. Anyway, you're coming to the opponent(s) and all of a sudden some other NPC ships that may be stronger than you are (that are NOT part of the mission) come in and give you a rough time. You can't shake all of them at this time, and you lose. You silently cry and need to start that near impossible mission again. I'm sure all of you hate when this happens. That's why I'd like to make it that when you get your mission waypoint (space, of course!) and are heading towards it, that you are invulnerable to non-missioned NPCs (but you can't attack them either. You know, the BZZZZT!! sound. Well maybe it is more of an EINGKT!). This would clear a lot of anxiety for many people, I'm sure.
Thank you for your time, and I hope that this actually gets read by some players and the Devs start on it. Kind of like the nokill stealing thing, only this time,you're the one who can't be kill stealed!) I hope this doesn't deprive missions of thier complexity, as those enemies were not even part of the mission. FYI, by "missioned enemies" I mean they have the red or yellow line crosshairs around them.

I love the idea, but!!!!!!!!! Dun dun DUN!!!!!!
We can ask others to help us complete a mission, yeah I know, I hate asking someone to help me but it works!
Trust me, I can complete a mission with somebody elses help!

Eeek. That doesn't sound like any fun. I don't like that idea at all. You should have an escape macro that kicks in your booster and launches you off into hyperspace if you get jumped.

If the developers really wanted us to group with others to finish our missions, then why can't we all do the mission together and all get credit for it?
We should also be able to submit our names to the piolt trainer, and then be assigned to a squad. If there are not enough PC, then NPCs would be subbed in.
There is no evidence that the developers intended it to be group work in the training missions, IMO.
