No, in the timeframe of SWG (Between Episode IV and V), only Luke Skywalker is eligible for this badge, as the second death star hasn't even appeared yet. Wedge fled the first death star, otherwise he might have been the one to get that badge, and Lando Calrissianis still gambling to fund his Bestine mining operation.

But since Wedge was grouped with Luke and he was only heading to Yavin Base for repairs which wasn't too far from Death Star when it exploded,he may have been close enough to still get credit for the kill and hence still recieve the badge

Well if you want to delve into the Expanded Universe at all, in those later books Wedge is the only active duty military pilot with TWO Death Stars painted on his X-Wing. Not to mention too many TIE's to count. Now remember, I said ACTIVE DUTY...I can't remember if Luke even has the kill counts painted on his X-Wing or not.

Also, In military style he would have recieved it because he participated in the attack.
Han & Chewie also would have recieved it.
But I don't think this guy was talking outside the game. heheh

Hey, what about that random Y-wing that survived the attack. He (she/it?)should have one too!

You are correct, they should have recieved it. Although I think that guy retired. LOL
Not sure he retired, but I saw him post in core systems... he sent in a CSR ticket and is pretty PO'ed that he didn't get his badge.
Chewy is still waiting to get his medal too, but that's another story!!

Shhhh...don't give Georgie any ideas. The next version of A New Hope will have an extra few seconds of a digital Leia giving a digital medal to a digital Chewbacca. <shudder>
