Thread: Can we get a PVP sector to replace Kessel, since Deep space is Masters only?

I don't mind Kessel being changed to PVE since that is where folks have to go for the master mission. I liked it better the old way, but I understand the new way makes more people happy.

However, there is no longer a pure PVP zone accessible for folks who are not masters? I believe you have to get 30k prestige poits after mastering before you can get to deep space.

We need a pure PVP zone for people lower than master. Can you possibly make a copy of kessel and call it something else so we can still have a PVP zone? Going to a zone where everyone is in PVP is needed. Yes an individual can go to a station and declare, but that just isn't the same thing.

I suggest the Alderaan System...with the nice shards of Alderaan making up a nice, massive asteroid field for dogfights

That isn't a bad idea. It would be an essentially empty sector except for player to pvp in...

If the Kessel change is indeed temporary, I suggest they open Wild Space to non-master pilots and reduce the diffuclty of the NPC's there so that everyone can enjoy until Kessel is returned to PvP status.

Alderaan is a good idea--I like what the second poster suggested.

I believe this is meant to be a permanent change. How could it be fair if it is a permanent change?

If its a permanent change, then they really do need to do something for an open PvP zone. I'm not a PvP'er, but I understand what the PvP'ers are asking for. Seeing as how there are no real areas to congregate in space like there are on the ground (cities, bases, etc.), the PvP'er has quite a plight. I suspect finding other PvP'ers is something of a challenge.

However, I don't agree with those PvP'ers that insist having the Master Mission in Kessel is the only "honorable" way to complete the mission and that anyone that gets Master from here on out is not a true Master. I didn't lobby for this change. If the only way to get Master would have been to get a good group together, then I would have done it.

Unfortunately, many of the PvP'ers are taking out their frustration on the PvE'ers. So, they are getting attacked in return and labelled things like "gank squads." I only went to Kessel once. While I was loading I got obliterated by a PvP'er. I didn't complain about it, but I decided Kessel was not the type of place I wanted to go yet. I think the real culprits the PvP'ers should be mad at are those PvP'ers that insisted on camping hyperspace points and the Devs for just making the quick fix. Even then, if it is only a temporary fix, then the Devs should be given a break. They had to do something to appease the majority of the gaming population.

I'm hoping in the long run that PvP'ers get the PvP zone they want.

Going overt and looking for another ship is a horrible way to pvp. i have been overt since launch day and have logged hours on end in space. i have found no other overts except in kessel. add in the fact that space zones are occasionally instanced with seperate servers and you have about a snowball's chance inhell of finding someone to shoot at. Went to kessel today and all i saw were people camping spawns of pirates and factioned ships for loot. kessel is dead now.

Cheer up everybody, the devs have decided to cater to the people who didn't want to pvp by eliminating pvp from space totally.

Not only doesdeep spacerequire you have 30k prestige points, it actually COSTS 30k prestige points. Meaning you hafta pay xp to play there. The cost is relativley low, but I just dont see a point to this, how is this helping gameplay?

And yea 1 pvp zone for a massive online game? what?

And nothing to do once you master? I cant get duty missions so looting is harder then when i was 3333, they only have 2 high end areas and gobs and gobs of empty space for missions wich for masters can no longer be done.
