Thread: Almost the coolest mission ever

My first hijack mission. As an all-around scoundrel and cutthroat, I figured hijacking would be the way to go for my first round of duty missions. I jumped to Dantooine and let the freighter have it until the captain gave in. What would happen next? I didn't dare to hope that my suspicion might become a reality... could I dock with the freighter and board it? How cool would it be if I could dock, board, blast the crew, and set the ship to autopilot back to Jabba's?

Instead I found that I couldn't dock at all, and worse yet my hijack mission was just an escort mission in disguise.

One thing I'd really love to see in upcoming patches is some space/ground integration. Instanced ship interiors would go a long way toward making the game not just awesome.... but mega SUPER awesome. In my opinion, anyway.

Atmospheric flight would also be great. Obviously we shouldn't be able to blast ground targets, but if that thirteen year old could hack the files and make it happen, I assume the devs can too.

What other additions would you like to see for JTL/SWG crossover content?

what thirteen year old?

ccccggggggggggHOSKA ASREEN OF ECLIPSE "your bakeryproducts are weak old man"ggggggggggccccWhen people refer to something that is Star Wars canon, they are referring to the "official story" of Star Wars.

George Lucas says (love it or hate it) that only the Star Wars movies are truly canon - that is, that only the movies offer the true story of what happened in the Star Wars galaxy. According to George, all the events that appear in the Expanded Universe - comics, novels, games - did not actually happen in the Star Wars galaxy, but are only additional tales that provide "what if" scenarios and events.

Many people hate George Lucas for this, since even though he personally approves all Expanded Universe material, markets it under LucasFilm, LucasBooks, LucasArts, and profits greatly from it, he still says it is not canon.

That's an awesome idea, to be able to board and kill NPC crews. Also, the idea of atmospheric flight is something I thought would be cool too. And perhaps you'd be able to land in wide, open areas. This would be an awesome feature. I agree, though, atmospheric craft should not be able to fire on ground targets, but that was almost a given.

I just wonder what sort of affect atmospheric flight would have on framerates and lag.

I think read somewhere in beta that was why it was not added.
