I don't see privateer as that bad.


I haven't tried PvP though. My concern is with the kihraxz only it needs at least 20k more mass. I have made it through to my RSF tier 4 mission 2 (which is bugged right now) completely solo...... in a dunelizard. The craft feels good. I can give up the 10k mass of the ixiyen for its extra manuverabilty. I am going to try the rhyoshfisehamdfidshajplzzzzzzxxx(or whatever) tonight.


IT seems that most fighters aren't made to have equipment over level 6. You might fit one in the x-wing.


Just concentrate on finding the best level 6 and below stuff you can.


I have a level 3 reactor that puts out 14k energy, I haven't seen that on anything other than player made level 5s

it only hass a mass of 3k

Just want to add :


Check the size difference between Xwing and ixiyen, the Ixiyen is well over twice the size and have slower turning rates. So, the mass the size the loadout is all better on the xwing compared to the Ixiyen. We pose a much larger target, making us easier to hit than the other two factions.

YOu are right about the size. You;d have to be blind to miss the Ixiyen.


The (Insert letter here)-wing is overall better.


But what are you going to do?


Everyone but the Devs and the Rebels saw that balance was shifted toRebel side.


I think most of the Devs fly rebel ships. You have TH on another post talking about what he named his Y-wing.


I don't think there is going to be a rebalance and Privateers and Imperials will just have to deal with inferior ships.


I guess just hope the Firespray is near the level of X-wing.

Have faith at some point the DEVS who really are smart people will start to here all of this and find a way to balnce the game some. As I progress more I am sure things will be more difficult and some of the descrepancy I here about will become more appernt I am still only 1221 on Privateer so I don't have much to say but I do have faith that we will get our due even if it takes nearly forever. Until then I will say I am still having a lot of fun both in the ground game and in JTL and hope to see the game continue to progress in a possitive manner (I just hope the DEVS don't make more rash decisions like making everyone JEDI).

Sorry I haven't posted in a while . . . it looked like this thread was dying, but i came back and had 13 new posts!


I was thinking about something just now. The rebels are a ragtag group of crop dusters and otherwise oppressed citizens The rebels don't have the resources or the equipment that the Imperials have, or the civilian market even. Yet for some reason, they are the dominant force in the galaxy at this point


I dunno, something just seems whack to me. As technology advances . . . things get smaller. We've all seen it Remember when a computer took up a whole room? Well, I think that things like reactors and capacitors, the really good ones, should be lighter as they get better. Armor of course would be heavier, and weapons too. Meh, this is all hypothetical, and probably moot as well. I just relish the thought of having an uber gun or shield gen loot that I can . . you know . . . use. As it is, I have tons of great loot that simply will not fit.


When you think about it, civilian (pirate) vessels should be heavier than any military craft. Like comparing a F-16 to a Jumbo jet Our ships already *look* big and bulky . . . just give us the mass to go with it. Stock they should fly like crap, but also be heavily modifiable to fly good at some point. This would mean that engines should play more role in ship performance. Right now, depending on the chassis, speedgets a % reduction, and maneuverability is a solid cap. This means no matter how good your engine is, if you're capped at 60, you're capped at 60 I think this shouldbe a % reduction, so that equipment play some role into the way our ships fly. Also, regarding the speed cap, I think the top speed should NOT be reduced . . rather accel. and decel. should be capped


Well, there you go, more food for though . . . so . . . discuss!!

Something else I've noticed . . . in kessel, the other two factions can't attack same alligned factions. We can =/ So I guess it's 3 on one instead of two.

Yes that was the case in Beta to . Even my group members could shoot at me. Neutrals to.


This was ofcourse not that fantastic fun when my mates could down me, that required me to let them hunt stuff together and me far away soloing to get my master mission done. All their kills accounted for in my mission ok, but I lost the support of wingmens when fighting, and even greater risk of beeing jumped by other players without effectively removing the threat.







With the damage still turned up i PvP, If you accidentally fly in front of a teammate's firing arc, you're dead even by the time they've realized that they've hit you =/
