Plus i have a nice lil example for those guys who think changes happen even in real-life and you are unlucky and gotta live with them... Well what if in real life you order a ferrari and pay it in advance and then you get a crappy rusty car from the junk yard and car seller tells you: well, we had a nice lil meeting last week and posted about it somewhere on our homepage that we might give all the ones who ordered a ferrari and nice lil junk car?
Real bad choice of analogy there, what actually happened is more along the lines of this:
- Buy a Ferrari and have it delivered on tuesday with the specified 3.5 litre engine
- Find out the next day that they have modified all new sales to have a 4 litre turbo-charged engine
Would you expect them to change your engine? No, they had probably announced the change somewhere, if you didn't know then it is your misfortune, not their problem.
Real bad choice of analogy there, the engine types would dramatically change the price structure for the model changes you're describing. What we did here with JTL is say, same model fighter, and within 90-days of you spending $1 million, we altered the universe to screw you vs. anyone having previously bought one. If you've bought an Aggressor from now on, there's no reason that you'd ever have had otherwise spent another $1 million on an aggressor ever again. So the correct thing to do here would be as the devs were altering the universe, to: A) Retrofit the existing ships to the same enhancement, or B) Remove all the existing ships from datapads and inventories, and credit those players with $1 million allowance.

SuperPoop, We've established that as of the morning OF/AFTER the patch had been enacted there were no patch notes on launchpad. MOST of the player base DON'T read the forums. How else were the players supposed to know of this change?
Whoa, whoa, now. Where was that "established"?? I saw it on the launchpad myself, as well as several others who actually take the time to read it.
Infact, it was entitled "Sneak Preview! Pub 11.2!". It stated plainly right in there the mass changes, for at least a full week before the publish went into effect.

It's established that I personally saw absolutely NO patchnotes when I logged in. I'm sure they were added later, however it IS POSSIBLE that people honestly didn't know.
Yeah, well, you know what happened after I spent my free unlocks in the village and then went to the Captain and did his mission, thus accidentally training the same box I used in a free unlock?
Too bad so sad. Should have researched first. I don't see how this is different. It was there a full week before it went live. There's just no justification for not reading and researching first.

Ok... so no patchnotes were visable the day of the change at first. However, it seems that there was a link in the upper half of the launchpad that gave you a sneak peak at the patch notes. That's what people are referring to when they said it was available for a week in advance on the launchpad.

About a day before they made the changes for 11.2 public, I spent over 1 Million credits on my TIE Opressor. Now the mass has gone up over 20k, which would allow me to fit 3 space bomb launchers and a countermeasure system in my fighter. Boy would that make it one mean killing machine. But I can't, because the already made fighters didn't get the mass bump. I will be useless in PvP and PvE compared to my peers that are just making master.1 Million credits in not an investment I can afford to make again! Can we get a retroactive mass boost please?
Look at the bright side. At least they didn't nerf all ships including the ones made, they've done something like that before. This reminds me of an old saying. "If you can't stand the heat, stay out of the cookie jar." (BTW, if you can tell me how that relates to this, I'll give you a free cookie for only 5 cents.)

Now, expressing frustration on the forums is cool. Telling other people not to post unless they're venting isn't. If you post in a public forum, you need to be prepared for a public reaction. As soon as hit you hit "Submit Post" it stopped being your thread and became our thread. You just started it is all. Sorry to be harsh, but I felt like some perspective was in order here.
