Me too! I love the yacht. My gf and I just fly around taking in the great sights sometimes and enjoying space for its own sake. Don't get me wrong...I love to engage in battles, but just sitting back and enjoying other aspects of JTL is great too! This expansion adds a sorely needed dimension to this game that is truly Star Wars.

I love JTL too!
There are of course a few glaring bugs to fix, and some added gameplay stuff like more capital ships in space would be great, but overall I think the devs did an awesome job. Keep up the great work!!
Just a word of caution for everyone here.. don't turn into a whiner when you hit tier 3 like so many others on the boards. Yes, it is challenging, and yes some spawns make things really difficult for some missions, but team up with your friends or guildmates and you will have the best experience ever.
I finally felt like I was watching a star wars space battle last night doing my tier 3 missions with two or three other friends.. it was truly cool. We had two x wings and a y wing w/ a gunner, and I must say it was really cool to see the gunner shooting back at Tie fighters trailing behind the Y.
X wings and Tie fighters twisting, turning, shooting, exploding.. it was an amazing experience.

Having dusted off my old joystick (last used playing XW:Alliance) and a day after getting my codes, I finally launched into space and spent several quality hours in space last night.
It was great!
The first thing that struck me was the clouds moving over Tatooine. What a great effect and so much better than having a simple, non animated image of a planet. I had a quick look around my cockpit to check where all the buttons and levers were (noticing the plush leather seat) and then settled in to work out the controls and fly off to the first waypoint.
Four hours later I dragged myself away to go to bed.
My first impressions are positive on the whole. Dogfights in the asteroids, getting randomly attacked by pirates, escorting freighters, tie fighters, y-wings, swish graphics... loving it. Just like I did when I first played X-wing all those years ago. Add to that the customisable ships, the loot, the bounty and little pop up taunts from the NPCs which, although repetetive, are a nice touch and I am pretty happy with JTL.
That's not to say it's perfect but I do think it's a definite step in the right direction. But I'll save the constructive criticism until I've explored the game a little more and thought it through. In the meantime, one memory from last night which, for me, is what I hope JTL is going to be all about:
Heading up for my final starter mission, I saw another player ship, a scyk like mine, in an asteroid field, outnumbered in a dogfight by some pirates in z-95s. One was on his tail and his shields were taking a good hammering. Feeling for a kindred privateer, I powered up and targeted his pursuer. Quickly the hunter became the hunted and a few quick blasts later, the pirate's ship was dust, drifting through the void.
Next time I go up, I want to find some people to group with because I think JTL is going to be best experienced with others.

WOW! This is great! The community have succeeded in becoming even more whiney about the whole Kessel thing.
People forget how great this game is! We just take it for granted.
I want to say that the feeling of the game is great. No matter how much people say "this doesnt feel like star wars" i still think it does.
What doesn't feel like star wars? the stormtroopers everywhere? the awesome sand citys of Tatooine? Or being at a cantina, just like the one in A New Hope? You can meet up with famous people like Admiral Ackbar, Luke, Vader and many more!
I love this game and I really think that people just forget the good moments of this great game!
Keep the positive stuff comin!
(Hyperspace still doesn't bore me
