Let me start off saying I did the Imperial Flight Campaign and it took me about 7-10 days of very hard work to complete with help from friends on Tier 3 and 4. The ships are much less shall we say inferior compared to privateer at lower levels and really make mission take a lot longer.

Now I am working on Privateer and I am on Tier 3 (which I am breezing thru) in about 2-3 days of the same hourly play time.

Privateer is a JOKE.. I must say that Privateer should say (SUPER EASY) on a difficulty level, and Imperial should say (SUPER HARD) in the same sense.

Privateers just in general have much better Mass to weapons then Imperials do on lower end ships. The Dune Lizard is just a massive gunboat of power compared to the same level Tie I/N which is just pure low level garbage. I go thru missions with 2 guns on my dune lizard and feel like I am god when I am still just a noob.

I have to say the game has some extremes when it comes to different Pilot classes. Now I understand when people have said they have never died in space. YES I am one of those people from Nov Pilot all the way up so far to 3-2-2-2 I have yet to die 1 single time. My Chassey is still the same as when I started with no decay. I honestly rarley take armor damage so I can say we have extreme's on classes.

I can say as Far as the Imperial Class this is HARDCORE extreme. As far as Privateers wondering WHY imps are complaining so much, when they breezed thru everything this is the real reason why. I cant speak for rebel which I have not done yet, nor will I probably since I am a deciated Imperial, but I am guessing rebel is probably a Medium level to Hard level difficulty. Maybe someone can comment on that, but I hope this gives people an idea of what to expect on each class. I am current doing the RSF Campaign on Privateer..

Did it ever occur to you that you might be breezing through the privateer faster because aside from the ship, its the same thing that you did as an Imperial, and thus old hat? Doing somthing the second time is always easy than the first time. Sure the dune has nice mass, but once an Imperial has a TIE bomber, its not an issue, and then you see ourship at teir 4 with 130K mass, we start of quick, and fall short at the end. This is why the devs are retooling our mass on privateer ships. Furthermore, there are 3 different squadrons of privateer, and each has a difference...much like that in the 3 Imperial squadrons. One is noticably harder than the other 2. So...there are Imperials getting an easy ride (easy as in easier..its certainly not easy) than you did in the harder squadron.

The TIE bomber requires a fighter escort or you get eaten for lunch bafore you ever make your first waypoint.

At least the Dune and Khimo can fight, all the TIE bomber can do is bomb capitol ships IF it is escorted to the target.

So rather than offer any type of counter point to the MULTIPLE reasons offered by myself and otherswhy you would find the privateer branch you are currently doing so easy, you post this? It's rather obvious now that you are just trolling to make others think you're somehow "special" for doing the Imp missions that are "tougher" than any other. Funny thing is that you talk about being a skilled pilot earlier in this thread (adjusting your throttle and such)but then have another thread where you complain that A-Wings are "too annoying" because they take too long to kill. That's funny I've slaughtered them pretty fast the few times they've aggroed on me in Kessel (in all fairness it was their fault for flying through my blasters as I took out ties). Hm... I think that as soon as I finish off my master mission on my main character, thatit's time to dust off my Imp on Corbantis. Then I can fly the Imperial missions (I willmake sure toask around and find out which is hardest so I make sure I take that squadron's)and claim Imperial is easy vs Privateer being hard, simply because I know more about what I'm doing my second time through a piloting profession. I'm done posting in this thread myself, but you might watch for a thread titled "Imperial vs Privateer - Extremely easy to Extremely Hard!". Then again, probably not, simply because that's not the kind of threads I make.

Keep in mind she said her idea of the ideal throttle setting is 1/3, so yeah an a-wings gonna be pretty anoying if you are throttling down to 1/3. Especialy in a privateer ship that has the poorest acceleration and deceleration of any fighter type craft in the game.

Every mission can be done solo but you need to take advantage of every one of the things that are available to you. I had more then one of my friends having gripes about tie aggressors. I had them send me the full list of their equipment and then I did a custom job on their ship and told them about using droid chips. After that they blow aggressors solo instead of in a 2-3 people team.

Take the time to look at each and every skill you have as well as ships that are at your disposal (you will NOT be able to solo a gunboat in a tie interceptor, that's what tie bombers are for).

Look at every piece of your ship: some loot is good, some is not (ask a shipwright if you're not one yourself).

Look at droid chips: --> you can use chips of other factions<-- (those neutral chips only mean something when combined with Imperial chips).

You can make jumps in a same system to escape without failing or repair at a station any time.

One day a friend finally used an ixiyen ship with the 92.2 engine and a level 2 engine overload imp chip. Her crusing speed is now 1040 and over 1200 with boosters.
