I have been playing for 2 days now

Totally love it. Graphics are great. Saw a nebula storm for the first time yesterday. It was cool. Yellow lighting not so far from where I was. Cool Cool Cool.

The fact that you actually have to fly the distance to the space station adds to the star wars feel.

Too bad you cant set autopilot and leave the seat though. But Im sure theyll implement that pretty soon. I hope.

Just found out I had to do missions for Dravis to level up. And reached 1101 so far.

Got my first non-noob ship which I could manage. And that part is just SOOOOO cool!

Just being able to tweak your ship. Changing engines, armour , ...

I dont fully understand it yet, but Im sure given time I will.

Looking forward to mastering Privateer and getting the YT1300.

Was going for the slave I model first, but since they gave all factions that one ...

Hope they implement some smuggling missions to. Or give people a reason to hire a smuggler to transport their cargo and hire smugglers to do it.

Hi everyone.

I bought Jump To Lightspeed yesterday, and have done 5 Imp missions.

This is simply the coolest, best feeling, and greatest star wars flight sim ever.

I love the space stations, especially seeing other spaceships land and dock or just cruise by. It really feels authentic.

I haven't experienced lag yet, although my server doesn't have that many JTL:ers yet, but even with lag, this rocks!

Don't come to this thread unless you want to say something positive about the game or the devs.

I really think the devs have done an awesome job and can't wait to play it again! (the servers are down right now)

Please mention something specific that you like about the game, or just say that you like it

*EDIT*

I also forgot to say that the graphics are awesome! Don't know how they would be better.

I'm happy to have a positive thread about this game. There are WAY too many whiny threads posted here - WAY too many.

I think constructive criticism is important to improve this game as fast as possible and make everyone happy. I'm also having fun playing the new expansion.

However, I cannot agree that this is"simply the coolest, best feeling, and greatest star wars flight sim ever." Yes, the graphics aregreat, and there's a lot I like. ButXWA trumps JTLS for gameplay, excitement and fun in many ways, and the devs need to bring in some of the talent from XWA or TIE Fighter to help raise the gameplay value of the flight/combat portion of JTLS to the level of XWA, which is really the standard to date for Star Wars space combat sims.

"Don't come to this thread unless you want to say something positive about the game or the devs."

Note, making valid constructive criticisms doesnt amount to saying bad things about the devs. And kissing up is never constructive.

JTLS is shaping up to be a potentially great expansion that will ultimately really complete SWG like it was always meant to be. But it's not perfect, and I have no problem pointing that out, because I KNOW it can be better, and should be.

I think everyone that has posted here has one or two comments / critisisms about the expansion as well.

This is just not the topic to put them in. There are enough of them out there.

I have really enjoyed reading everyone's positive experiences with the game.

Hope it keeps on going.

I don't need to kiss up and/or thank the devs here with words.

I thank them by paying to play the game they make. That's how they ought to be rewarded. Kiss-up threads, devoid of criticisms, are not onlydishonest, butpretty much irrelevant to the devs. They know they've done good when professional game reviewers give high marks, and people start buying up the game and continue paying the subscription to keep playing it.

The BEST way we can help the devs is to give honest, constructive criticism to them - feedback - that they can use to improve the game, and make it EVEN MORE enjoyable.

And I dont post here to kiss up to the devs or anything ... just to share my experiences ...

I dont read this thread thinking "oouuuuu the devs are gonna love this comment"

No ... I enjoy it while Im at work, which is boring as hell

Great, and I'll post my experience with JTL also, including the things I think are holding the game back.

I have the same problem, only I tire out before she does. Not that I'm complaining mind you...

JTL rocks! I love flying so much that I have all but abandoned my fs grinding to master pilot, and I am advancing slower at pilot, but it is at least a lot of fun. I love the fact that no matter what your skill level is you can be challenged and have a good time. Being able to get fully buffed and just spam special attacks all day is sooo boring, while actually having to use your own flying skills is fantastic. The game could be a little faster at time, but I still love it.

The game is great fun for me at the moment as i got to Imperial pilot 1-1-1-1 in a few hours a few days ago by having mega dogfights with pirates, mercenarys and rebel pilots around Tattoine in the middle of the local asteroid field. It was roll round the asteroid while keeping the target in my sights ended up being a good laugh and a good challenge of piloting skills. Also used them to avoid missle hits and ships targetting me by darting behind them and using them as a shield.

The use of natural items to hide behind and use in fighting adds a good tactical option for dogfighting.
