This is the best idea the devs have had. Not only does it make Mastering really difficult... it makes the game dependent on SKILL, which is something alien to MMORPGs. See, its easy to become a pilot, but INCREDIBLY difficult to Master.... makes it very accurate... if u realize, that in the actual Star Wars, there weren't very many "Master Pilots" but a lot of mediocore ones. Also, it gives a chance for the whole guild to get to the point where it takes lots of help to beat teh mission.

Amends dev. Job well done.... it mgiht take some "weak minded" players off.... but then again we don't want those ppl....

No one is saying PvP os harder except those defending the PvP part of the Master mission. SOE advertised they want EVERYONE to be a MASTER PILOT, this is your fantasy that master pilots should be a rare and glorious thing. PvP != skill, PvP in the Master mission = NO CHOICE. The only Master past the first few weeks will be the powergamers and griefers, with a few casual players.

This is the lame pathetic excuse always given to justify something no one needed to be justified on.

The question is not about challenge it is about the legitimacy of having PvP open in a mission required to finish a profession and still be "consentual PvP" stick to the question.

So here i am in kessel on my first tier 5 mission , I killed 29 that's right 29! imperial fighters. Guess what happens...thats right some assclown one shot kills me .... great idea SOE woot! This is ridiculess fix this now! Take the mission out of KESSEL!!!

SOLUTION 1 : If you can't beat them join them...since SOE SWG allows griefing on that sector, GRIEF AWAY AT KESSEL...till most of the subscriberscancel their account and then there will be no more PvPer on that area, then you can finish your quest.

SOLUTION 2 : CANCEL your account and let SOE SWG ( or whoever made the decision to put the Master pilot on a PvP area ) know this is a serious problem.

They made it beacause there were no griefers when they power levelled, and aim-botted their way to 4-4-4-4 pilot.

ok, so heres a solution: SOE should give a 30 second invulnerability where a player can not shoot or be shot after exiting hyperspace into the kessel system

Don't worry, they will I bet.

Then, they'll do more to randomize the hyper points.

Then they'll make the vette missions spawn at more than one wp.

Then they'll reduce PvP damage to 50% or lower so you can survive longer.

And in the end, they'll screw up the space pvp just like they did on the ground. Why, because they forced PvE people to enter this sector so all of the PvE people will jump up and down and scream and shout. The soultion, move the mission. But no, that would be just too simple. It's SOE, they have to do things the really hard way.

I still don't understand why the PvP people aren'tmad because they basically took away one of your PvP zones for this, and now the PvP combat is gunna have to be nerfed 100 times to give people that aren't good at it a chance. Where normally, they never would have entered your sector and it wouldn't even be an issue.

And for those of you that go "But it's a challenge".. Great, to you it's a challenge. To a large portion of the game it's impossible. People go out of their way to remove all challenge on the ground game and then cry because it's too easy, they'll do the same to space. You want a challenge, attempt EVERY pilot mission without even a single wing man, including the master one. Still think it's too easy, do it all with lvl 2 equipment in a tier 2 ship. It's your choice to challenge yourself.

You want a challenge on the ground, leave your buffs and armor at home, gather 19 friends and go Krayt or Kimo hunting. I used to do it all the time, it's a blast and is indeed possible, and a challenge. Challenge yourself, don't destroy the game for everyone that doesn't have 50 people to back them up and the newest baddest video card and computer.

All these missions do is provide people that like easy targets with a stack of them, and increase the divide between PvP and PvE people even more. Further driving this game in to the ground.

Heres the reason, They want it to be very hard to master, so you dont walk around seeing everyone and their mother with the tital, MASTER PILOT

With all the Master pilots I have seen in the last week, yes I even saw them on monday.
Thats less then a week that the game has been out, something tells me its not all that hard.

Only difference is they did not have to worry about PVP, all they had to worry about was PVE.

Now us slower players, or us casual gamers, have to deal with master pilots, who by there nature to rush and get master, so they can PVP. Will sit around and PVP the other players trying to reach master themselfs.

Nothing like punishing us people that enjoy taking our time and actually playing huh.

Solution 3: Stop crying and get better ship parts/become a better pilot so you won't get OHKO'ed when you enter a sector. There are already several pilot aces on all the servers. How do you think they made it? Magic?

No resistance. They did it before players were there to bother them.
