Thread: dantooine
Besides mindless running around from the Mining Outpost to the Rebel Outpost looking for jedi to kill. Is there any other good way to do it on this planet?
I've killed over 200 Dark Troopers and Nada... so I want to try my luck somewhere else.

What?
So if I'm not meant to be a jedi I won't find them? How, pray tell, can one discern whether they are "chosen" or not?

Try tonight, startign now and stop 3 days from now, see hwo much it has decreased and youll understand where im coming from
Holocrons are not easy to find but there are a few tips I will give you. FS npc's are your best bet for holos IMO. Yes you can get them from faction missions, but those seem to be extremely rare drops. So the question really is: Where do I consistantly find FS npc's? Generally I have found them in secluded places on Dantooine. There are some actual locations that you always find a FS, but they are so heavily camped you might as well be swimming in a lake trying to find a FS to kill. As you run around doing missions, occasionally take the long distance ones rather than the close missions. While doing your missions for cash, pay attention to what mobs are spawning in your path on a consistant basis. What I mean by that is, after a while you will have done so many missions that you will know where mobs are typically spawning. Pay attention in particular to non-mission spawns (grauls, graul maulers, grassland voritor trackers, etc). As you continue making note of these spawns, you will notice a trend: non-mission, higher-difficulty mobs spawn in similar locations. These are the locations you work from to find your FS npcs. Now all you have to do is consistantly revisit these locations at all hours of the day (RL) and eventually you will find FS npcs spawning. Once you find a spawn of FS npcs wp it and note the time (game and RL). FS npcs tend to spawn in the same locationat the same time every day (RL). Make sure that if you kill a FS, you wait around for the respawn, they typically spawn 3 times, but I have seen more and less. When their spawn is over or near over, typically a high level non-mission group of mobs spawns nearby. Lastly, I personally know that there are 1 - 4 spawns of FS npcs within 2000m of each of the 3 bases on Dantooine, so keep looking and you will find them.
If you have marginal elite combat skills, bring a friend to kill anything above FS novice. Solo, you better be buffed and be willing to die alot. Remember that incap due to spices will result in DB from FS mobs. If you come upon FS mobs under attack by a PC, do not heal them or help them unless you are ready for the fight. Same thing goes for if someone has FD and currently has a DOT on a FS mob. Healing the FD person will result in your being attacked. Essentially, fighting most FS npcs is like PvP except everyone hits for full damage.
As the others said holocrons are just **edit** rare. I would honestly like 1/4 of the luck some people seem to have. When holocrons started i was weak in pve, but bersonally before tonight i solo killed 40-60 force NPCs (mostly on dant) then 200ish surface marshals (mostly on talus) before i gave up and went back to leveling the professions i was working on. Do note that I did plenty more than that in groups, but i usually dont keep count, and as far as i know no one I have grouped with picked up a holocron. Now im a lot more powerful than i used to be in PvE, and inspired by the jedis out and about Ive gone back to killing force NPCs. Me and 2 guild mates killed another 50ish tonight with no drop. Now there are plenty of holocron hunters in our guild (One guy cleared the force caves 3 times solo in the first day or 2 of holo drops) and not a single person in our guild has gotten a holocron. So if a guild with 30-40 combat chars, cant get a holo drop since they started, dont assume they arent dropping because you havent seen one in the last 2 days..
Be in a group with 3-4 friends. Hopefully atleast 2 of you can heal, atleast 2 have pets of sorts, and preferably atleast 1 has commando. Once the the pets have thier attention everyone can chip in some damage while the commando does whatever it is they do to 2 hit kill the guys.Roam the fields of dant till you find a few spawns within a 150ish m radius of each other and rotate these until they run out, rinse and repeat. Its doable solo if you have a creature/faction tank but they will require a lot more healing than if you have more people in the groupto dish out damage. Rotate the looting so no one misses out and everyone is happy. Works like a charm except for the fact that following this method none of our guild has actually looted a holocron ![]()
Ahh well atleast by the time someone gets a FSCSwe will have a lifetime supply of krayt pearls waiting ![]()
Hello !
I got a simple question, can i place a Naboo City Hall on Dantooine now ? i read of some bugs with this.. so i am not sure about it, though it's said so in the FAQ, but well..SOE tells us much many things ![]()
And if so, can i place all Buildings whic hare palacable on Naboo on Dant too ?
thanksfor your help ! ![]()
the city hall.. yes. I have a tatooine city hall on datooine..
the only restriction is...... PA hall ![]()
er yeah, tatooine one, i know that tatooine one works =)
but how about Naboo ones ?
anyone able to proof that these placable ?
dont want to waste 400k *smile*
well.. if the deed has all the lables (I have tons of naboo homes on datooine)
so it should work...
since all buildings (except PA hall and pre-patch.. but luckily there are no pre-patch city hall) follows the new rules
If you are on lowca.. I believe Dantoo city uses naboo city hall and did doom city.
thank you very much, now i can get the hall and place it without being afraid .. hehe
