Firstly, who are you to stereotype me into being a PvP'er, and more importantly why are you associating me with griefers? I am pro-PvP, would I ever classify myself as a PvP'er, no. I am against griefers, as are the rest of the people in this community. We all can agree that those types of people are bad for the community, yet in my opinion stereotypical jerks like you are just as bad. Also like someone else said, its suppose to be difficult to do, but most likely poorly implemented and thus easy to do unless someone real is trying to stop you. Removing PvP from the system will most likely produce unlimited amounts of waves of new master pilots to the point where if you want to be master its no big deal because well it ain't that hard.

Um, yeah, you could go play EQ2 which doesn't have PvP or CoH which doesn't have PvP. These types of games a made for people who only love PvE and well this argument you present goes both ways. It isn't going anywhere so I ain't going to argue with you about it.

Most importantly, I am not fighting for PvP or PvE here, I am fighting and yelling because guess what, we just lost another part of the game. They say they are going to rework the idea and fix it and reimplement it? They said this about, jedi, combat, and Multiple professoins. This seems to be a reworking theme in this game and that is what I am pissed about. Let's implement something we know won't work in the long term, take the whole system back, say we are working on it, and implement something maybe better maybe worse in a few months or half a year. Remember /citywarn, yeah they are still working on that problem, in the mean time the whole militia concept is useless unless your city is being overrun by creatures, which is impossible according to the coding of spawns.

Have you done the master mission yet? I have, to help a few people get it. On our server there was no IMP player presence in the zone at all. So all the early masters that care to whine about this are full of crap cause few of them had to PVP anyone to get master. Having said that I did do beta and I did get spawn camped going into Kessel so yes Griefers screwed this up BLAME THEM.

I doubt it's an easy thing to move that master mission out of Kessel so chances are this is a temporary change at worst. I'm pretty sure we will see this zone go all out PVP again.

I agree with you, maybe the true issue is really there. It is my case, I don't care about the Master Title, Jacket or Helmet, I only want a transport ship and I am a PvE player... I don't even understand why you have to prove that you are a Ace Fighter Pilot in order to become a Novice Tramp Freighter Captain.

No you're right. I never did post in any threads advoicating that. however after being aboard a friend's YT I can see why it is a master ship. Lets be honest.. you got 2 turrests with 360 degree by 90 degree fields of fire. With 2 good gunners plus the pilot firing off missiles you can just about own almost anything. your only restraint is the capacitor charge (BTW devs capacitor charges need to be raised. pretty sad to have a cap level 2 almost as good as a level 6)


Now Ok I got the Yacht I can fly around but lets be honest it's a party boat. Point is I can see why these ships are where they are at. with a crew of 4 or 5, tyyou can keep thre attack up all day while 2 of your friends run around anbd keep the repairs going, you can out last almost anythinga single pilot throws at you.

If you're not a master pilot and try to fly that thing with gunners, your gunners will puke. Flying a MP ship is a totally different creature than a fighter. You have to be constantly minful of where your enemies are, how your co-pilot is going to work the droid and missiles, and positioning your ship so that bith turrets have a line of sight on the target.


It gets quite involved, and, I gotta tell ya, it's awesome!!

The PvP community knows that declaring to be overt isn't very good. It means that everyone going overt is a buffed up super hero. They're either multi-masters or they're covert. You know. you made some extremely valid points here. To PVP in a ship you need separate skills then what you would use in a PVE fight. why? because you are dealing with a brain that thinks and anticipates and reacts in a random fashion rather then an algorythm. when I fight the Level 3 4 or 5 Dark sun Kihaxr (sp) light fighter I know one thing.. it will fight me go pass and then turn around and face me again. so We will wind up jousting each other until the first one dies. When we fight the Rih , or Kimo we kjnow if it gets on your rear it will launch a missile. so you have tactics to deal with that. fighting a rebel Y wing you can sit on it's rear and peg it all day long. heh try doing that on player Y wing and you wind up with a face full of laser. So. Inorder to run the m,aster mission, I and my friends would of had to run the gauntlet past some heavy NPC ships AND player ships. some of whom kill you the moment you load. .


Not me you say? I would not do that? Probably.. I would say it is a good chance you are right. Yet, we also know that among us there is a roughly a 3% group who do grief. Any chance you get. Sadly PVP players attract these griefers more then PVE players do, though occasionally we do get them. ( like getting to your missions first so they can get the loot and xp leaving you high and dry plyus with no credits to show for it, or kill steal and loot the Krayt you and your guild were working down the past 5 minutes)


You argue to PVP means you can be attacked by anyone at any time. Again you are correct. Basically it meant I would enter into a zone and have to fight someone whose intent is to deny my completion of my mission. And that is what it boils down to. I respect a person to PVP mostly. Except for in cantinas, hospitals, and in front of the Starport. (places of healing and honor in combat in the first 2, and the amount of lag it causes in the latter) but respect and being forced into it are 2 different things. that being said I would agree to more PVP zones. In fact I am almost surtprised that they did not have PVP zones based on Level in all zones. a 2km by 2km by 2 km location where ppl could PVP based on levels IE Corellia Tatooine Naboo, starter and 1, Lok, Dant Yavin lvl 2 and 3, Dath and Endor level 4 and Deep space being lvl 5.



Still I do not weant my choice whether to pve to be taken away to do my master mission anymore then you are arguiong for PVP being taken from you.

LOL when my wife looks over my shoulder to watch me dogfight I get her sick.. and I've gotten huildies queasy on my space yacht. thats why I keep barf bags around lol
