To Spacenovice,

You're so full of crap, ok? You say you've solo everything and will soon solo the corvette. One question. What game are you playing? It sure as hell isn't this one.

Maybe you haven't been reading the rest of the forums. All over people are are complaining about the missions and the difficulty of many of them. I didn't say all of the missions were hard, but there are manythat are. You have to go up against tiers that are higher then yours, at times 2 to 3 higher with multiple ships coming after you.

Another thing, just about every other post is about the master mission and how it must be done.

So please stop trying so hard to impress because all you've manage to do is show how much of an idiot you truley are.

You've solo everything, ha! Judging from your comments you must still be in trying to get your first box after novice.

Idiot!

First off, for some of you who disagree with what I had to say please take a cue from, Atytula and CerionSkydreamer. These guys didn't exactly agree with me either but they responded the way it should be, like decent people not jerks with insults.

Disagreeing is part of the game but know how to do it.

This subject is a sore point among many people here and I'm not speaking for anyone but myself. It's like I said already, look at the forums and you'll see the numerous complaints. Whether you agree or not the fact remains people ARE complaining.

Maybe we've gotten used to being able to solo anything on the ground, who knows.

But I don't believe any one person can solo the entire package, I just don't and I don't care who says otherwise. If you can then you haveone badass ship. And on top you should of made Master Pilot by now.

i am totally against making the pilot missions weaker. If i want to solo anything ill stay on the ground. I miss the group hunts we use to do when i started playing this game. Its fun to go out with your friends and run missions.

Its not the difficulty of the missions that bothers me, I really have no trouble finding a group of 3 or 4 to kick some butt. Its the length of these missions that gets to me. 3 hours to do a mission? I'm sorry but to pay for this game it requires me to have a life outside of galaxies. I RARELY have 3 straight hours to play this game, so these missions become impossible for me and people like me. A simple split up or allowance to log off and come back later in the middle of a mission would be nice. Also the ability to group up and have the mission be credited to the whole group would be wonderful....but if not then that wouldn't bother me so much. I'm just fed up with flying around for 3 hrs and almost completing a mission, only for a Tier 4 NPC group to come and take me out by surprise even when they have nothing to do with my mission. The mission LENGTH is retarded, not the difficulty.

the thing is that some of the missions are harder then others,it all depend's on which trainer u start talking to when you first start out. i started in tyrenia, and for me it has been a pice of cake.

Now i have another frind that started out whit another trainer and his missions were a pain in the a$$,it all depends on where you start out.weawere both reb's.and i had no prob doing 4,4,4,4 solo. but my friend was gated at tier2 as he had to do the mission's inbtween loads of tier4 spawns. it's where missions are located that is the prob. (usualy),

Not the difficulty of the mission in it self.

I might be off on the other factions this was for reb missions.Maybe it's a little diffrent for the other missions.

Blahs, you have a good point, and it is one the devs tried to address in beta. If your missions are being over run by nonmission NPCs, then this is a 'bug'. It was even worse in beta, and the devs tried to clear most of the mission lanes. If you're experiencing this issue, I'd suggest bugging it and perhaps bringing it to Smoke's attention in the pilot forum.

Let me also point out the innovation the devs have introduced here as well. At Tier 3, you're getting skill boxes for free. No xp grinding. I personally love this innovation. For my money and time, if it takes me 20 hours to grind xp to gain a skill box, or if it takes me 10 attempts to complete a 2 hour mission, I'd much rather do the missions. The devs must set a pace for the consumption of the game content. If you've gotten rid of the predictable pace control of grinding xp, then one other alternative for controlling pace is mission difficulty (another pace control would be something like EVE online where the game dictates skill advancement in real time). I can only applaud the devs for this break from the traditional MMOG paradigm.

At the begining I though JtL was really hard, even with my experience off all XWing games.
I currently 4433, I was flying a Rihkxyrk Black Sun heavy fighter, loaded with all my best loots, and it was hard, all missions were hard.
Then I came back to my old Kimoliga, light armor, heavy shield, one ion canon and one disruptor, no launcher, no flight computer... light, fast, agile and tactics. Now I can win Tier missions with one or two wingman easily.

JtL is a very complex game. You really have to think about you loadup.

Once again, a non-Imperial, comments. Common theme here.

Beta, I was a Rebel. In live, I'm an Imperial. The missions are "night and day" guys. You can't compare them.

If I wasn't a player who was infatuated with the Imperial faction from day 1 of beta over a year ago, I would drop it right now and never look back. The Imperial ships and missions are way out of whack in JTL.

I think JtL is a glimpse into the future of SWG as a whole. JtL does rely more on grouping as you point out, and pilots do need to group at the very least for the final missions. You are correct in saying this is unprecidented in SWG. But this is also by design, and I believe you'll see a paradigm shift in SWG with the coming CU and GCW revamp that requires more grouping as well. It's not an anomoly, but a sign of things to come.

Just a post to everyone who jumps on anyone when they complain about an aspect of the game or suggest how somthing may be improved. You all immediately say that they're just whinning and that they should go play some simple game and boast how easy it is for you to do it solo with two hands tied behind your back. One point you should consider, We all pay these people $14.95 a month to play this game and many of us have been doing that since last July. I think that pretty much gives me or anyone else the right to "whine" about anything we damn well please.
And SpaceNovice, you may have the time to do every mission 10 times, but that is a giant waste of time for me. I myself loath multipart missions that just keep on adding seemingly unrelated tasks when I've already completed what I thought was my mission. And damnit, let me train when I max out already.

PS What the f*ck is up with server reset? A year and half later and you guys still have to shut the game down every freaking morning? I've played other MMORPGs that don't boot me out for an hour everyday. That is annoying as all hell.
