Thread: TIE DEFENDER *** PLEASE ***
A-wings where made after the first death star had been destroyed during our time period and I think B-wing should not be in the game yet.

And Yes the Starter Tie Fighter,Tie Fighter,Tie IN is all the Same Ship. So we dont get more ship designs we just actually get 3 boxes of the same ship

The TIE I/N Fighter is different from the Orginal TIE Fighter, it is just upgraded.

Well, in that case neither the A or B wings would be in production yet. They, along with the Defender, were being produced after the Empire Strikes Back. Also, if we were worrying about continuity how about Jedi and AT-STs?
Yeah, he is exactly right. I just checked the Star Wars Encyclopedia. Neither the A-Wing or B-Wing were present in this time period. Neither was the Firespray in any quantity for that matter. However, it'd be hard to have a diverse class of ships without them. I'm sure the Devs will be adding more craft for each profession as things advance. Lets get the rest of the game working as intended first.

Odd, there was a TIE hunter in an early JTL screenshot. They removed it because for some reason they didnt wanna put it in.
If the imps get the defender we get the E-wing
and the neuts get the Blacksunstarviper.
Defender (I think) should have 125k mass (max) and 4 proj/2 missles Since the Defender was an attempt at the empire to copy rebel fighters.
E-wing would have 150k mass and 3 proj/2missles, It would basically be faster, and slightly better firepower than the X-wing.
Starviper would have 200k mass, 4 projectiles/3missles. It is also the coolest looking EU craft. Ever.
Perhaps all three could be aquired at different places by special missions.
Defender at Tanaab Reaserch station (needs to be in a sector, perhaps a second deep space)
E-wing on an incom shipyard, perhaps in the same sector as Tanaab.
Starviper at the Skyhook Station in Couracant orbit (the planet could be there, but not landable)
And the neutrals could get a cloakshape as their normal master level fighter, four laser cannons and two missles, 170k mass.

Yeah. Did you? I saw one Firespray in that movie. Its the same one that Boba Fett used in later movies. How many did you see? You might also check the history of the Firespray. It wasn't a very succesful design and was abandoned. They were extremely rare. The Devs created a new back story to bring them back into the game.
This is a game, and a game needs to be balanced in order to be fine to play, so stop giving me the realism crap!

Imperial Ships are complete crap in the game.
Tier 3 We get a 1 Laser/1 Missile Tie interceptor.
Tier 3 For Rebels you get a 3 Laser/1 Missile X-wing
Master You get a 4 Laser/2 Missile B-wing
Master we get a 3 Missile 2 Laser Oppressor
All our ships are severely undermassed even the ones with multiple weapons. You get Ships at Tier 1 we dont even see til tier 3 and 4 so give me a break about needing to counter. The Defender could have the exact layout as the Bwing with 4 Lasers and 2 Missiles and would be perfect.
ok first off this makes the game more realistic ties were never better or equal to rebel ships. ties were cheap ships with very little mass that were design to attack in huge numbers. thats what made them strong. remember how the imperials are everyone was expendable they werent worried about weather the ships got blown up or not as long as they accomplished there objectives.

lol i dont even have to ask what type of pilot you are. funny how no matter how well you try to hide your profession it still shows lol.
im sorry but realizime sells. i agree it should be equal to some extent. but not if it is going to change the way starwars was designed. you can argue your point over and over we have fought over this with the ground game time and time again. now you want to start on pilot professions. well it is no diferent. all you can see is the advantages over you profession but what you cant understand is yes rebels have advantages over imps just as imps have other advantages over the rebs. but you cant see it cause all your worried about is what you cant do not what you can do. you know what disappointed me was being a reb i cant fly the YT-1300 i thought it was stupid especially since the YT was used by rebs when it was available. it seems like all of your wishes are to help make your toon more powerful. take rebel ships for instance we are at a majoy disadvantage our ships have a big mass which is not all that great yes we get more fire power but at what cost bulky, slow and can be out maneuvered by any tie. ties are also much harder to hit due to there size. that is the price you pay for having fire power. you have heard rebs talk about how the b-wing suck but look at its 250k mass makes it so damn slow you become and easy target. well comparing a Y-Wing to a B-wing is like comparing a tie intercepter to an X-wing we are all equal but in diferent ways and if you dont like that try a diferent profession. i am equally sure you will be back to complain about that too.
i would like to see the defender and the missle boat as well as stations and capital ship ownership. i also think that they need to expand the pilot profession by making an advance pilot tree where we could branch off into being a capital ship commander or a fighter pilot stations aboard a command ship. another thing i would like to see is bases in stace we need something to raid. we should also have the option to be overt in space all the time not just until you die or land. and we need more tie nps as well not just the ones at the spawn points.
