4)Turrets have a limited field of fire which makes it impossible to fire at a single target until it dies. Anyone who has turreted on a TIE Aggressor will know what I mean. Turrets really need a full 360 degree range of motion to be useful.
5) Boosters don't burn long enough to matter. Most Tier 4 and Tier 5 ships will catch up to you regardless of whether you have a booster or not. I think boosters should burn about twice as long as they do now (~10 seconds just isnt long enough).
7) There is no content other than PvP once you reach master pilot. The entire expansion is what happens between novice pilot and master pilot, and then you either get to participate in one hit kill PvP battles orlament that you wasted $30 on an expansion that should have been better.
8) Hyperspace takes way too long. In the movie they just zip into hyperspace on a dime. If you want to balance out hyperspacing in the middle of combat, just have missiles that collapse hyperspace fields like in Freelancer. It's aseriouslyinconvenience to wait 45 seconds to enter hyperspace.
11) There are no fuzzy dice.This is the most severe and egregious fault I can think of. damn it all to hell, I want my fuzzy dice.
4) Limited field of fire is a design limitation (based off of the SW universe as well as RL).
If the Aggressor was designed to have a rear turreted gunenr that had only a limited field of fire, then that is how it is (unless you're a designer for whatever fictional ship manufacturer created the ship).
If you use the Y-wing, you have a 360 field of fire on the top arc (which is realistic in relation to how it looks like it was designed).
5.) The booster was not meant to increase your speed for a long period of time. It's a temp use increase for your speed, nothing more. While it would be nice to have a longer lasting boost, i think it's kind of unrealistic (and besides you can probably get more than just 10 seconds if you get better equipment...i had a low boost speed, but high burn time booster in BETA.)
7.) SLOW DOWN......this is why i tell people not to rush to master so quickly. Once you're there, you decide in your mind that there isn't anything left to do.
8.) Instant hyperspace jumps were part of "movie magic". Basically when you viewed the ships hyperspacing, they had already gone through their calculation times, and were on the 5 second counter for the jump. Even if thepoints were precalculated, the same amount of time to calculate them would have happened at one point or another, and if you weren't sitting on the EXACT point (within a specifcspace of margin) they would be ineffectual at best.
Notsaying i don't think it would be cool to have a droid that could speed up your calculations (as well as predetermined jump points that were previously calculated), but that's another argument.
11.) I'm quite ticked about that too........FUZZY DICE!!!!!!

Now dont get me wrong, I like Jump to Lightspeed. The graphics rock, the interface is great (reminds me of Freelancer), and the mission variation is a hell of a lot better than it is on the ground. But there are a few things about JtL that irk me.
In no particular order...
1) There are Star Destroyers visiblein thesky above Naboo, but none in space around the planet. There should be at least one in the Naboo, Dathomir, and Endor systems at all times.
Naboo = Emperor and Vader
Dathomir = Massive Imperial blockade
Endor = DS2 construction site
Dude the planets are only backdrops, your just nitpicking, and jumping the gun. Who says they will never add more stuff later on. JTL has been out a week.
2) There are NO capital ships whatsoeveroutside Kessel.last I checked, the Star Wars universewas populated with more than just starfighters and the occassional gunboat.
There is also no need for em either.
3) Missiles cannot be reloaded at space stations. It really pisses me off that I have to land just to load more missiles onto my ship.
Again this could end up changing so chill.
4)Turrets have a limited field of fire which makes it impossible to fire at a single target until it dies. Anyone who has turreted on a TIE Aggressor will know what I mean. Turrets really need a full 360 degree range of motion to be useful.
Y wing turrents are 360 across one axis some ship I guess aren't, maybe that is a design problem not a game problem. Maybe the ship isn't meant to be 360.
5) Boosters don't burn long enough to matter. Most Tier 4 and Tier 5 ships will catch up to you regardless of whether you have a booster or not. I think boosters should burn about twice as long as they do now (~10 seconds just isnt long enough).
This I agree with.
6) Aside from the shipwright profession, there is NOTHING that ties the space part of SWG to the ground part. Bounty Hunters should have to hunt marks in space, Smugglers should have to smuggle things to space stations, Droid Engineers should be able to make droids which can fly in space and perform different functions, you should be able to mine asteroids, etc... etc...
Bounty Hunters do nothing to earn that special content, it is broken on the ground why infect space with horse crap. No one earns anything but Space XP up in space no one is special keep it that way. You include BH hunting, you'll have to give Jedi powers in space and then we go back to the mess downstairs, no thanks.
7) There is no content other than PvP once you reach master pilot. The entire expansion is what happens between novice pilot and master pilot, and then you either get to participate in one hit kill PvP battles orlament that you wasted $30 on an expansion that should have been better.
Well there is content past Master witht he prestige points you ear, so this is just wrong, plus content will be expanded. If your problem is you mastered or are close already then there is nothing that SOE can EVER do to please you. This profession was designed to take much longer then a week but some will do it in days or a week or two, those people can't get enough content to please em.
Maybe this can be debated. I dont think it would kill anything to have it take 30 seconds.
9) There are no new planets. I don't care if you didn't fill the existent planets with content yet, I paid my $15 and I want new planets. I want to go snowboarding on Hoth.
JTL was originally intended for release as part of SWG, but there were problems that forced them to alter it into an expansion so there would not be new planets to begin with. Second this is a space game, why do you need new planets that will be empty because the content of the game is, well in space? The next expansion is about the CGW it is likely to contain new planets, but there is zero reason to have a new ground content for a space expansion.
10) Collision handlingis stupid. You shouldnt fly through other ships. And when you collide with another ship, an asteroid, or any object ten times your size, you should explode in horrible agony, or at the very least take some form of damage. I never liked walking through other people or furniture on the ground either for that matter... makes me feel like a hologram.
This was discussed and even tested early on, the one and only reason it was taken out was griefing. 12 Year olds who play 16 hours a day don't care about diying if they take you with em. This is an MMO there is alot of things that can't be done because of immature players who would use it as a tactic to harass others, deal with it almost every MMO will have seemingly stupid physical rules.
11) There are no fuzzy dice.This is the most severe and egregious fault I can think of. damn it all to hell, I want my fuzzy dice.
100% agree, fuzzy dice or the little Hula girl on the dash.
