I'm gonna have to call this bluff. This would suggest an engine speed of 130+ So far, I haven't even heard of such a thing. And if it did exist, it would be a stripped down A-Wing. Until youpost a screenshot of the engine, I'm gonna call this for what it is: a fabrication. Sorry. Hate to do it, but some things just aren't likely
Actually... I've seen someone do 1400 in a dune lizard.

Speed, schmeed - you can sneeze in Kessel and kill somebody. Hell, if you don't cover your mouth you can wipe the zone!

I've killed so may of those slow intercpetors it's no even funny. Tie advanced is a little better but not by much.

There are two things I am working on doing to make my A-wing better for PVP. First of all I have found it is NOT best to have the fastest ship... by much. If you are just slightly faster than your opponent you can usually get behind them better, however if you are too fast you will overshoot while chasing them! Someone in a slower A-wing that had the same turning speeds outflew me because my speed kept overshooting them. Im trying to get an engine that has higher turn rates and a speed of about 85-90 for my A-wing. That should improve my PVP capabilities.
The other thing I am trying to get is faster firing blasters, which I believe even with lower damage will dominate a battle. Just have to have a good capacitor or lowered energy use per shot.
I am one of the few (it seems) people that actually prefer the near instant death of current PVP. If you are in a fight with someone and they get behind you right from the beginning, its a sure bet you are screwed whether it takes them 2 seconds or 2 minutes to kill you. Sure if you had 2 minutes you MIGHT get away, you MIGHT have a buddy save you, you MIGHT manage to turn the fight around! Though I like the thought of that making every duel seem more epic, fights just are not that way and shouldnt be. Its like what real fencers say about the lightsaber fights in the movies, too much screwing around basically. In a real life fight the better fighter will win in a matter of seconds not play the fight out so long just for your entertainment!
The only thing I see wrong with the near instant death thing is that you wouldnt get much of a warning when fired upon (learn to watch your back).
Aside from that, PVP can be quite drawn out even with such quick kills. Me and a few friends got ambushed in Kessel by some Imperials. After taking down the Aggressor of the group, and losing two of our own fighters, we started to dogfight. I mean REALLY dogfight. My A-wing had a hell of a time staying on the tail of one Advanced, that guy knows how to dodge... I got him eventually though.

Actually, thats doable with a regular engine. I just got 1533 in a tie advanced while boosting. Take the 92.2(or a rare higher rated looted engine). Then add in a good booster(25+ speed rating).
Now get the imperial droid command engine overload 4(droid commands can be traded between professions) and use that. Add in a reactor overload droid commandif you need the extra power. You should easily hit the 1500+ mark on your ship. If you are a privateer and can manage to get an enthrust command to stack on top of that, you can concievably get a legitimate but temporary 2kish speed in a ship. ![]()
