That's pretty funny, actually. The B-wing is like a miniature Nova, has the maneuvering capability of an overweight hippo. Neither the B-wing or the Nova are actually good PVP ships.


As for the original topic: The multipassenger ships could do well with a boost. I think they should either give them a specific set of cert 11 components that are much tougher than fighter components, or add a mulitiplier to the MP ships shields, chassis, armor and component hitpoints values.

Me too. I expected dogfighting similar to what we saw inBF1942 orXvT. Not this merry-go-round-and-die-in-one-shot dogfighting.

What were you expecting. Look at the ground game mates. Broken? One-shot PVP? Same in space? Both ground and space lag from server-side even at server reboot?


That's game design problems.


Well sure we have awesome graphics (sloooooooooooooooowwwwww but still cute) that non of us should accept because of the performance impact but eh, get it to the point. They said ground is laggy because of houses/vendors/items/harvesters/inventorys and such ... this should be that much the case in space but : it's the case we teleport need to shoot empty space to land hits and such.


Only 1 destroyer in JTL when several capital ships should be fighting around any planet? Broken missions? Space POI are only empty places in JTL?


Now they focuse on Game Ground? Bye bye JTL support or what?


Last but not least. They're gonna announce next extension. It means dev team split again! Will it be before game fixing? Come on we'de love that BUT it won't be the case!


This game has the very best potential overall ANY OTHER game around for at least 1 or 2 years more I think. Make it a legend! FIX IT! Hire people with great qualification where yours are lacking (efficient network performance and graphics display etc ...)

They really should drop the damage you do to players, maybe even 90-95% reduction. Space PvP should take a while and attacking a Master Multiplayer Ship should be a Challenge for even a group of 5 Playerships. I want Fun-Spacefights and not this Onehit-win crap.

I dont think its a joke...I think someone reverse engineered a massive weapon...

I just looted a 4000-4350 dmg weapon....And if you reverese engineered it...that thing is massive.

Currently MP ships are worthless in PvP or against more than a couple of NPC enemys because they go down so fast, they are no stronger than a fighter. Added to the fact they decay into nothing after spending millions on them, they just arnt practicle even with a full crew (altough after a few deaths the chassis HP gets so low from decay you dont have time to repair anything before it goes boom anyway)

Im not even tier 2 yet, but i can see that i will be very agitated at this. I will be angry at the fact that i cant go to kessel without a master Pilot killing me and sending me tells of "OMFGi pwned j00!!!!1". I love flight sims, and i cant say im dissapointed at JTL itself, just the Devs' ignorance to the fact that the game they just released needs to be worked on, not the ground game. I respect all of the beta testers who tryed thier hardest to get it to change, without them, a lot of the problems we have now would be even worse.

There definatly needs to be some work, killing someone with less than 5 or 10 hits that is at your level is just wrong.

And besides that, NPC combat just sucks at the moment, same with PvP, the flight model is very bad, you have to actually miss your target in order to hit it on the server.. JTL needs lots of work.

No, it wasn't anything reverse engineered. I haven't gotten around to reverse engineering any of my componentry quite yet. The way I put out that kind of firepower, as I explained previously, is quite simple.


The TIE Advanced has two projectile slots. I've loaded mine with a pair of ~2k-3k guns. This was at the expense of having a booster or any missile weapons in my Advanced, but since I cruise at 1200+ I don't miss the booster all that much.


Furthermore, I run my Advanced with one flavor or another of Weapon Overload on most of the time. I don't know the exact modifier it provides, but since every volley from me is automaticallyat least4k-ish even before we discuss Weapon Overload, we can see where the massive damage in PvP comes from.


I've taken to /telling people while I'm in Kessel and Deep Space and warning them that if they get within 750m of me I will turn about and blast them, otherwise I will leave them alone. I'm out in those places trying to get the loot, trying to scout out the Corvette, andhelping guildies with their 30 kills missions.I'm trying to not engage in PvP if I can help it, butthe Forcehelp whatever Rebel player thinks I'm kidding. Just because I don't agree with how I can dish out damage doesn't mean I won't if they press me to it.

I used to be the same way...


Then I realized that this is a game where one guy can blow up an entire Correlian Corvette from within, two Imperial pilots can blow one up with bomber strikes from outside while taking no damage themselves, and AT-STs can walk within thecorridors of said ship with their top hatches and guns up in space using a grade of firepower that would likely pierce the hull if used in any realistic model.


And yet those who thrive in such a system are quick to look down at you from the top or without any practical knowledge (listen up those who've never been to Kessel yet you're clearly experts already), or the balances were tipped in such a way that you'd be a fool not to think that the game is realistic with one or two shot kills when clearly a "stock" vessel of the same type takes more effort.


All player ships should have a mandatory "Tier 0.5" show up next to their ship. I'm through having hollow smiles when I'm forced to kill another player in self defense, and you can certainly see why you don't get any XP doing so. The effort on your part, the anger on their part... it wasn't even worth it to begin with, and the game reflects that. That's the end lesson here.


Want the same fun? Take your magnifying glass out to an ant mound, but rest assured... focussing that thing takes some pretty l337 skillz. Call the ants newbs or noobs, but don't call them "nubs." A nub is: n.1) A protuberance or knob, 2) a small lump, 3) The essence; the core: the nub of a story. You wouldn't want to look uneducated when you smite them from above, all powerful one.

PVP in JTL doesn't seem to work. i was in kessal and my ship was destroyed in 1 hit before i could even see who shot me, this really should have been looked at in the beta, its a shame because the rest of the game is fun.
