I also give some consideration to other players, if you do not want to pvp then name your ship prior to take off NO PVP. This will let everyone know what you are planning on doing in kessel. If I don't see that then I send them a tell and ask if they are here for PvP. I have yet to hear a yes to that question.

There is only a small group of people that are there to look for PvP and they are typically the griefer. They are there to ruin your gaming experience. I have never entered Kessel looking for PvP. I think before you go in for your missile lock and take out another player in kessel you should ask first.
That requires alot of trust on both the PvPer and the "NO PvP" ship. First off I doubt this would get respected unless it was hardwired into the system. Zone into Kessel and if your on the mission you are not Overt. Some PvPer will fire on a ship named "NO PvP" some by accident with kill or be killed and I can't blame that, some will hunt those out just for thrills it will not be respected. The person doing this "NO PvP" ship could outright lie, he flies up to you the PvP or another "NO PvP" ship and blows you away and laughs his head off. It is simply too easy and too tempting to abuse. Your thining and trying to reason it out but sadly you cannot trust players to abide by rules that are not enforced by the game mechanics, some one will ALWAYS break it.
Server and time of day, and day of week, it's all conditional. So far, every time I go into Kessel, everyone respects the truces and even several have asked me if I was there for PvP. When I answered "No", they respected it.
However, I'd hate to be on one of these other servers that have more assinine players, or on during the weekend, or, thank god it's not summer anymore.
But, what both of you say happens. Just at different times.

It's a shame there's nowhere you can go at no cost to PvP now, going overt is an option for, say, a two 3rds of the player base, however, once you land, you'll still be overt, I will not run around overt on ground, as ground PvP is IMO not working. So to PvP in space I'd also be forced to spend and inactive hour on ground after undeclaring, to get my very much liked covert status back. This way of going space PvP certainly isn't the best.
I think this is getting blown out of proportion though, are you really convinced this is a permanent solution? I'm sure it's temporary, either there'll be two Kessels, one for missions and one for PvP, maybe the master mission will be moved to another area, maybe it'll become "free" to go to deep space, or maybe another PvP zone will be created. So, instead of making flame inspiring threads, how about asking Tiggs, TH or some other big cheese what the plan is? So far I've only seen: Ruined, terrible, lost "content" and similiar phrases and words, yet as it's usually the case, the complaining far outweighs the recognitions. There you have it, the option for PvP is still present, it's called Deep Space and comes at a cost, there's overt, and it comes at the cost of also being so back on ground. But you have the option, it is not forced!. Now either sit back and wait or take contact to those who actually have something to say in developing, then come back with their answer.

Uhuh. Yeeeaa. With this one statement you have killed off any and all credibility.Being killed at load point with NO chance of defending oneself is no big deal? Its idiots like you that has killed PvP for the majority of players./shakes his head in disgust
First thing I do when I load in? I press B as QUICKLY as possible.
With boosters I go from 0 to 1560kph in a little under two seconds, and my boosters can keep it up for 15 seconds straight.

Man I wish I was on your server. Id just camp that spot and kill your ass every time you spawned, every time you tried it, all day long. It would be so satisfying to make you EAT those words for being such a complete idiot. Then once youd given up, I could follow you around with covert scanners, ganking you all day long when youv got no buffs. See how fun it is to get slaughterd with no chance of winning? Some people open their mouths without actually saying anything. Meeuki, this has been one of your times.
if it'd be so satisfying, don't just sing it. pilot only takes a week to master and deep space is still pvp. you could spawn camp me there. fyi though, you can no longer covert scanner gank. it's a 2 or 3 month old change.
and honestly, i have my doubts about your prowess. it's not that i'm automatically underestimating you, it's just that your post is an uninformed, less than intelligent daydream. why would your flying be any different?
hell, we can update this thread and you can let everyone know how successful you were. wouldn't that be satisfying for all you little babies? i'll even make you a deal, despite being able to articulate a case for harassment from a CSR, i won't touch a /report.
the fact is, you people are complete idiots. i just realized that the master mission never even drops from your datapad, so if you are load killed, it's less than a 2 minute flight back to imp claw. you literally had nearly nothing to lose except a few credits and some meaningless decay. the main thing is that most people who were clamoring for change had never even experienced the mission. they just cried from the sidelines like you.
but it's not about that is it? it's about ego, it's about not wanting to lose to another player because it crushes your spirit and reasserts your doubts about being inferior at competition. but hell, what do i know? how about you and the rock painter/truck washer army guy both come to gorath and do some load killing? i have no problem with it. i can probably find someone to help you with your pilot missions too, if you need it.

i just realized that since you can't covert gank anymore, nor do you have the capacity to build yourself up to master on gorath and try to load camp me in deep space, that your post is the one that doesn't really say anything. that's funny.
