The AI in this game is boring they just keep spinning which isn't as fun as a dogfights the devs need to look at how the ships in other SW games fly and fix a big that seems to make TIEs invulnerable then all of a sudden not.

Its a tactic the AI uses when it can and it works. So yea thats why its implemented. Its either that or one of you is behind the other. Their jousting you because they can.

The AI needs to have some more manuvers in its routine. Specaly after it has some one on its tail it needs to do more than just fly in a right/left circle. It's ok for tier 1 stuff to be like that but 2 and up should be more concerned when it's getin hit in the arse imho

They REALLY need to implement the AI from X Wing Alliance/Tie FIghter, the fast ships would be incredably hard to hit, as they would randomly switch back and roll, so that if you were chaseing in a slower ship you would be turning full throttle to try and get it into your reticle only to have it flash past in the other direction. Also petition for solid ships, crash damage and 75% pvp damage reductionplz thx.

QFE - if you turn into them before they pass you, they try to outturn you instead of coming back around.

you're not really getting what im saying.......


IF the AI only uses those two tactics (left or right circle) and draws you into jousting......don't you think it's time for a CHANGE in how you handle the situation.


there have been many times in multiplayer flight sims where inexperienced players try for one of two things. Get behind, or go straight at it. There are a million other things you can do, you just need practice. and besides, the ultimate challenge is another player (thought from what im hearing PvP isn't working like they want it to).

Well for me it's 75 % of time, They just circle around and they are easy to hit. Cept those A-wing.

When they are jousting, dont try to hit them head on. turn around as soon is it start coming at you. lower your engine at half and max it when your behind it.

Then the jousting is over. It will then become a chase while They just circle around and you kill them in no time.


I do agree AI should have better tactic/movement.

Especially when a wing of 2-4 fighters are formed and your behindthem shooting at one. the others wont break up the formation and try to protect his wingmate and kill you. They will wait till it's their turn to die. Quite pathetic from their part but hey, they are AI after all.
