ok this isn't official, but i pre-ordered at my local ebgames and they still havent gotten the beta disc, at either of the 2 stores in my city. i am in canada, and to my understanding, you have to sign up in beta before(?) oct 22 to get teh flash speeder. its the 18th and still no beta disc for some reason i seriously doubt we will get one even though the guy at ebgames says we will

the falsh speeder is free and when its destroyed you get a enw for free instantly so i choose that over a speeder bike thank you

I'm Canadian, in Canada and playing the JTL Beta. I pre-ordered in the store the day after the option was available. I have not recieved the CD yet and I have been told that I will not be recieving the CD. ThoughI personally could care less, as that speeder is REALLY, REALLY, REALLY ugly, I am once again disapointed to see how SOE is handling the issue. Way to go guys, thanks for going to bat for us!

Well this stinks, although I do have to agree that the speeder is one butt-ugly vehicle. I was gonna pre-order for a friend as well, forget that now. I'll buy it from Future Shop or Best Buy instead.


Like others here, I'm not particularly upset about not getting the speeder, especially not after seeing it. I'm upset that I was lied to.

    same. the whole thing about not getting the speeder isn't anything im goign to get too upset about, it's the fact that they keep saying the disc will come

    To whoever said the Flash speeder is free, I heard it costs 20k to get a new one if it gets destroyed.

    Here are some excerpts from my conversations with EB Games and SOE on this matter. Sorta in order. I have excluded my own letters. All emails were cc'd to both organizations and all summarized by asking if I would be receiving the "bonus item" or flash speeder.


    You'll see at the bottom what appears to be a satisfactory response from SOE.

    Now I really don't know completely what the last one means but it at least seems like international customers who preordered from EB Games will get the FlashSpeeder when they register their expansion even though they will not be receiving the actual bonus disks.

    How is this screwing us over? Its a ugly speeder. I mean its REALLY ugly. If you log onto test center, you might see one, and you'll say to yourself, "Damn. He was right. Thats an ugly speeder! And I mean UGLY.". Personaly, I think this is good, not getting the disks. Less ugly speeders outside of the cantinas.

    SOE has misrepresented the value of pre-ordering to international customers. There has been no real response from anyone from SOE on this issue.


    EB Games has stated to me that they will not be shipping any bonus items to any international customers and I can only presume that means the flash speeder as they will not clarify.


    In my opinion this promotion was misrepresented by both parties. I understand that the respective customer service departments can be of no help so I will be attempting to contact the person responsible for corporate partnerships and or this promotion at both SOE and EB Games.
