Solutions that would please the majority of people in kessel:

1) take the master mission out of kessel. Dathomir would be nice. or endor. or dantooine.

2) tweak armor and weapon strengths to limit one hit kills. most people don't mind having to fight off the stray PC or 2 or 10, but not when they can't survive the initial pass.

3) load timer on entry. no hyperspace camping if you load into the zone unattackable

4) random hyperspace entry points.

No arguements here.

....when I complaind about PvP interference in the Master pilotmission.

First let me make this clear, I have never called for Kessel to be switched to PvE. In fact I am completely against it. All I ever wanted is for the Master missionsbe taken out of Kessel and put into a PvE zone.

But after reading all the vitrial, hate and viciousness spouted on these boards towards the PvE players in responce, I have now lost any and all sympathy towards the PvP players plight.

And thus, I repeat to them what they have spouted at me when I complained.

Suck it up and play the game.

The Devs have made thier decision on the change after all the abuses and griefingthe PvP players perpetuated in the zone against those trying to do thier Masters missions, and now they are paying the price.

Suck it up and play the game.

How's it like to be on the recieving end of this statement eh?

You are probably enjoying it just as much as I did.

What comes around, goes around.

Enjoy it.

You might add "who is whining now?"

Seriously though, I never asked for a change before it was made. I'd rather they made some other solution, but this is the one we have.

I laugh every time I see a statement that SWG is dying. It was suppose to have died when Battlefront came out. Oh wait, wasn't Lineage 2 suppose to have killed it? My bad, it was suppose to be City of Heroes.

Yes, WoW and EQ2 will pull some players away. People think that just because some veterans leave, the game is dying. However, there is still a steady influx of players. I meet new ones everyday when I stop by Mos Eisley on the way to my house. Lets assume that SWG was dying, a PvP zone in Kessel wouldn't somehow magically save it.

SWG is always going to have an audience for the sole reason that it is the only Star Wars MMORPG.

However, the dev's were a little nieve to set that mission up like they did. Heck, I have never played any PvP game where griefers didn't regularly camp an entrance so having a zone like that to do any mission in was nuts.

Not only naive. They were also blind, deaf and dumb if you considerhow oftenthe beta testers pointed these flaws out and asked for feedback about it. Pretty much as soon as people started doing these missions, the flaws were reported in the forums.

we shouted it at them, it is only now that they notice us. we said: this is what will happen when it goes live.

beta was a good experience over all... the devs proved they listen to us and address our problems... except for this one.

Pretty much, yeah.

But I guess that sliding flight model was more important to tinker with than to fix blatant flaws in the mission design.
